Description
Deaths in Hardcore are world-shattering for the player and a single line in chat for everyone else. Graveyard turns them into a place your guild can visit.
Open the graveyard and the newest fallen stands at the head of an aisle that leads to the Spirit Healer. The rest of your guild's dead line both sides of the aisle in rings that fade into the mist. Turn the rings with the mouse, click a spirit and its grave opens: the character steps forward in its own race and the gear it died in, and the creature that killed it looms in the dark behind.
Features
- A 3D graveyard. Every fallen guild member as a spirit, in their own race and the gear they wore when they died.
- Open a grave. The death story (killer, zone, date, time played), famous last words, the life they led (gold, quests, close calls, epics, bosses) and an epitaph written from it — or your own.
- The killer, in the dark. Every killer is named and shown behind the opened grave, from Hogger to raid bosses.
- Meaningfulness score. Level, gear and the notoriety of the killer decide how brightly a spirit glows: common, rare, epic, legendary.
- Guild sync. Members with the addon share equipment while alive; when one of them falls, the grave reaches everyone within seconds — even after a disconnect, from the guild's cache.
- Works with Deathlog. Your guild's death history imports automatically from Deathlog / DeathNotificationLib when installed.
- Scene tuning. Sliders for camera, rings, effects, killer and foreground, applied live.
How it works — and its honest limits
Addons cannot reach the internet and a fallen hardcore character cannot be inspected, so Graveyard records everything before death and freezes it the moment it happens. Guild members who never ran Graveyard still get a grave from the death feed, dressed in gear typical for their class and level.
Bodies are built from your own character in the race of the fallen, so faces and hair are yours, not theirs — the game offers no way to read or show another character's appearance. A body of the other gender needs one player of that gender nearby once per session; until then your own shape stands in, and the grave says so.
The Scarlet Monastery backdrop and the gravestones are loaded from your game client; nothing of Blizzard's art is shipped with the addon.

Privacy
Graveyard talks only to your guild, through invisible addon messages. It shares your character's name, level, class, race, zone and equipment while you are alive, and your death record when you die. /gy shows exactly what your guild sees.
Requirements
- WoW Classic Era / Hardcore (Interface 11509)
- Optional: Deathlog with DeathNotificationLib for the richest death feed and history
FAQ
The fallen don't look like the real character. Race, gender and gear are theirs; face, hair and skin come from your own character (or a nearby player for the other gender). The game cannot show another character's appearance.
A spirit wears gear that isn't theirs. Fallen who never ran Graveyard wear gear typical for their class and level; the grave says so.
Does it work outside a guild? Yes — you see every grave you know of; sync needs a guild.
License
MIT. Graveyard reads Deathlog/DeathNotificationLib data at runtime only and contains none of their (GPL) code.
