What's New in mCleanup
Tag badges (the K / S / A / D letters on bag slots)
- New on/off toggle in Options → General: "Show K/S/A/D tag badges on bag, bank, and warband bank slots."
- Badges now paint as soon as your bags open, even if you've never opened the main mCleanup panel in this session. Previously the main panel had to be opened first to "seed" the badges.
- Bank and warband badges paint on open, no need to sort or scroll to make them appear. This was caused by TWW's redesigned bank using a pooled-button system that our badge code didn't reach; now it does.
- Badges repaint immediately when you change an item's tag from the right-click menu or via Bulk Apply. The lag between "I retagged it" and "the K turned into an S" is gone.
- Force-Keep items are visually distinct — the K is painted in gold with a thicker outline, vs the regular green outlined K for items that are kept by the cleanup rules. At a glance you can see which keeps are "special" (always-kept regardless of overrides).
Alt+Right-click tag menu (rebuilt)
- Now works everywhere: default-UI bags, character bank, warband bank, and ElvUI bag slots. Previously it only worked on default-UI bag slots (and silently no-op'd everywhere else, despite the tooltip claiming otherwise).
- New "Force to Keep" option in the menu — adds the item to the ToKeep list managed in Options → ToKeep Items. The badge updates to the gold force-keep style instantly.
- New "Remove from ToKeep list" option appears in the menu for items already on the list.
- Tag-override attempts on Force-Keep items are intercepted — a small popup asks "Remove it from the Force-Keep list and apply <tag>?" with Remove and Close buttons. Choosing Remove unforces the item and applies the tag you originally clicked, all in one step.
- The hotkey is now configurable in Options → General → "Tag menu hotkey". Default is still Alt + Right-Click. Click Change…, press any key + mouse combination (or any key combo) and the new binding is saved immediately. Esc cancels.
Options panel
- General and Settings tabs merged into a single General tab. They were two slices of the same concept; the panel scrolls top-to-bottom in a logical flow now (mCleanup toggles → Vendor → UI Appearance → Tooltip Lines → Compatibility → Quick Access → Maintenance).
- Font and Font Size share a single row instead of stacking — saves vertical space and reads naturally.
- Changing the font updates the Options panel itself in addition to the main mCleanup window. You can see your font preview live even if the main panel is closed.
- Updated How-To text reflects the new layout, the rebuilt vendor sell panel, the ToKeep-list authority rule, and the corrected Cleanup Rules description.
Bug fixes
- Search box no longer overrides Hide / Tag-isolation filters. Previously, typing anything in the search box silently disabled the Hide K/D/A/S chips and the Tag-isolation dropdown — so
!Legendary+ Hide Keep would still show kept items. All filters now AND together correctly.
