Malicious Chronicles
Malicious Chronicles turns your Burning Crusade Anniversary adventures into a living guild history—complete with achievements, detailed raid newspapers, death investigations, practical raid guides, and a sarcastic Chronicle Writer that remembers what your group would prefer to forget.
Your adventures, properly documented
Malicious Chronicles records the moments that normally disappear after logout: first kills, repeated mistakes, improbable recoveries, suspicious deaths, guild milestones, and the mechanics everyone insists they understood.
The addon transforms that evidence into personal Chronicles, guild profiles, achievement cards, boss records, and themed newspaper editions. Its humor is playful and sarcastic, while its practical reports remain grounded in events the addon actually observed.
The Chronicle Writer
The Chronicle Writer is a completely local, text-based procedural narrator. It combines recorded events, context, player history, repeated behavior, locations, outcomes, and mechanic evidence to create varied commentary without contacting an external AI service.
Long-form Narrator’s Tales provide strange but internally coherent stories from the editor’s deeply questionable past. Tales use extensive per-guild anti-repetition memory, understandable cause and effect, matching outcomes, and recurring-character callbacks.
The events are absurd. The story still knows what happened.
Raid newspapers
After raid activity settles, Malicious Chronicles can publish a themed newspaper covering the evening. Editions may include:
- A unique front-page headline and editorial lead
- One page for each raid visited that night
- Boss-by-boss pull, kill, wipe, and timing records
- Player deaths and major lethal damage sources
- Trash deaths and dangerous corridor patterns
- Observed mechanic failures and practical improvement notes
- Evidence-based culprit analysis when combat data supports it
- A long-form Narrator’s Tale
- Copy Mode and Discord-ready exports
- Date-based archives of previous raid nights
The personal Chronicle dashboard displays the latest front page. Click it to open the complete newspaper.
112 custom achievements
Earn achievement cards across raids, survival, professions, PvP, Outland, social moments, deaths, progression, reputation, and attunements.
Every achievement includes artwork, progress, Chronicle points, and an earned or locked state.
Death Detective
Death Detective records deaths from your party, raid, and participating Chronicle guild members. It examines available combat evidence, identifies major damage sources and patterns, and keeps reports focused on players who were actually part of your group.
Guild Chronicle
Participating guild members synchronize automatically while sharing is enabled.
Browse a ranked, scrollable roster; open member profiles directly; compare Chronicle points and achievements; review guild history; choose guild artwork; and jump directly to the latest newspaper.
Online players use class colors, while offline players remain neutral for clarity. Historian controls are kept separate from ordinary member tools.
TBC raid guides
The Guides section covers supported Burning Crusade raids, bosses, phases, roles, trash, and routes.
Select a raid, encounter, role, and available phase from a compact selector row. Complex progression encounters receive expanded, newcomer-friendly guidance with specific advice for tanks, healers, melee, and ranged players.
Current Blizzard hotfixes and your raid leader’s assignments always take priority over the included guidance.
Drama, but organized
The Drama Desk includes Public Trials, Guilty and Not Guilty voting, Excuses & Witnesses, contradiction tracking, guild reputations, and Guild Lore.
Historian tools can clear individual sections or wipe the night’s Drama before it becomes archaeology.
