Mage Rotation Helper

Mage Rotation Helper supports Arcane, Fire, and Frost Mages in World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Anniversary. It detects your main talent tree automatically and switches to the matching rotation.

The addon shows the next recommended action and can highlight the matching action-bar button. It never casts spells, changes targets, or automates input.

Arcane

• Tracks your live Arcane Blast stacks instead of simply counting casts.
• Keeps Mage Armor active by default, with Molten Armor and disabled choices.
• Continues casting Arcane Blast while mana is healthy or Arcane Power is active.
• At low mana, switches to the normal Arcane Blast and Frostbolt conserve cycle.
• Supports an Arcane/Fire profile that maintains Improved Scorch when talented and only uses Fireball while the shared five-stack debuff is active.
• Uses Fire Blast while moving.
• Shows Arcane Blast stack pips beneath the main recommendation.
• Tracks Arcane Power, Icy Veins, Presence of Mind, Cold Snap, Evocation, and usable trinkets in the cooldown row.

Fire

• Maintains Molten Armor.
• Builds the shared Improved Scorch debuff to five stacks when the target will live long enough for the setup to pay off.
• Tracks Fire Vulnerability from any Mage and refreshes it near expiry.
• Uses Fireball as the main single-target spell.
• Uses Fire Blast for movement and finishing, with configurable behavior.
• Supports safe ranged AoE with Flamestrike and Blizzard without replacing the Flamestrike ground effect too early.
• Tracks Combustion, Icy Veins, Cold Snap, Evocation, and usable trinkets.

Frost

• Uses Frostbolt as the normal standing single-target spell.
• Uses Ice Lance against frozen targets and Fire Blast against non-frozen targets while moving.
• Recognizes the Frostbolt and Ice Lance Shatter follow-up window.
• Tracks shared Winter's Chill plus Frost Nova, Water Elemental Freeze, and Frostbite on the target.
• Offers Molten Armor, Mage Armor, or disabled armor advice.
• Supports safe ranged AoE with Blizzard.
• Tracks Icy Veins, Summon Water Elemental, Cold Snap, Evocation, and usable trinkets.

• /mgh stacks 3 — set how many Arcane Blast stacks to build before filling.
• /mgh sim check — run all 61 priority checks.
• /mgh record — capture up to 60 seconds of anonymous decision data.
• /mgh report — open the copyable diagnostic report.

If something feels wrong, use /mgh record, fight normally, and post the complete /mgh report in the Mage channel on Discord.

The Arcane, Fire, and Frost priorities were checked against current TBC Anniversary guidance from Wowhead, Icy Veins, and Warcraft Tavern. Real combat feedback will continue to shape later updates.
