MacroForge 12.1
What's new
MacroForge 1.4.0 — Patch 12.1.0 support
Updated for Midnight patch 12.1.0 (Interface 120100). MacroForge no longer shows as out of date, and this release fixes a targeting bug worth re-checking your saved macros for.
Fixed
- Ground-targeted macros were silently broken. If you ticked Cursor (ground) together with an Enemy or Friendly filter — or Skip dead — MacroForge attached those conditions to the
[@cursor]clause. Cursor is a ground placement rather than a unit, so that clause could never match and the spell fell through to your next target in the list. Sigils, Blizzard, Death and Decay and anything else ground-targeted are now built correctly. If you built a cursor macro before this release, rebuild it. - Off-spec abilities no longer appear in the ability list. They were showing up and producing macros that could not cast.
- Flyouts and unlearned (greyed-out) spells are properly filtered out of the list.
- Pet abilities are read correctly again.
Added
- Mouse-wheel scrolling on the ability list and the My Macros list.
- The Addon Compartment button now has a tooltip, and registers through the current TOC fields.
Changed
- New internal compatibility layer. Every game API and Blizzard UI template MacroForge relies on now goes through one place, with fallbacks, so a future patch that renames something degrades the look instead of throwing Lua errors.
- Failures are now readable. If the client refuses to create, edit, or pick up a macro — out of slots, in combat, bad icon — you get a plain-English message in chat instead of an error popup.
- A spellbook scan error can no longer take the whole window down with it.
Notes
- Your saved macro library carries over; nothing needs to be re-imported.
- Unchanged Blizzard limits: 255 characters per macro, 16-character names, 120 account-wide macros and 18 per character. Macros still cannot be created in combat.
