Version 1.2 (Most Recent) - Beta Release
- All known bugs have been fixed that were found in the Bug Reports submitted by those asked to. PLEASE REPORT all bugs, errors messages, and any other comments to this thread, my in-game mail, or various forum threads ASAP.
Completely re-scripted with efficiency in mind. Some features of LootTrain were removed in order to implement a better and more feasible means to using databases. You can now keep and record data on characters of other servers, which was a huge set back in 1.1. As far as I know, LootTrain is compatible over many servers, though it has not been tested and found to be functional in that regard. (Assuming that everyone in your random dungeons do not have LootTrain installed, it would be sort of unsavory to use it over the loot distribution system blizzard already has in place.)
Major Changes
- There is now a command menu for LootTrain. Use /lt to view the command-based options. (NOTE: This changes depending on your raid position. Master Looters will see more options.)
- Items are now recorded as identifiers rather than links in the database. This allows for tracking many item indexes of the same ID all the while using the same space as you would if you only saw the item once. (With the ID tracking, you can determine how many of each item you've seen during the duration of LootTrain's run time on your machine. Which would be an easy means to determine your guild's drop chances with certain items... hmm, that's not a bad idea. I'll write that down!)
- Users are now stored in the localized database in a table for their server. This prevents overwriting database information for characters that have the same name. (I'm guilty of naming many of my characters with the same name on different servers, it made me sad to see the information go away in 1.1.)
LootTrainFrame Window:
Completely rescripted. The window now scales up to 5 items and the length of the item name in order to view it all. No longer will names be constricted to a few characters.
- There is no limit to the number of items placed in the loot session. For testing, I localized the entire atlas loot database into the session and it ran just fine. No hiccups or lag in that regard. (Though going through that many entries did take a while, I feel bad for any ML that decides to do this.) It's definitely not recommended to have a loot session for more than 100 items at a time since any person(s) that disconnect will ask the master looter upon reloading what is in session. While not a deterrence to the raiding environment if only one person disconnects, it may be a big problem if the entire raid goes offline with several hundred pieces loaded into the session. (Best way to avoid hiccups like this is to perform maintenance on the loot session after each boss, distribute it, then go about your business as usual.)
- Tooltip Information Changes:
- For items that can be equipped by a member of the raid, the item id of the piece the player is wearing is also sent along to the raid and shows comparable item identifications.
- Tier Tokens now count as a tier token for their respective tier level. They will not count directly as Tier, they will instead show up as "Unspent Tokens" in the tool tip for tier drops.
- For classes that are unable to use a particular tier token, they will have their bids flagged as "Invalid" with a comment detailing the error message they encountered.
- Before being able to hand an item to a raid member in your group, they will first be asked (silently) for the number of spaces available in their inventory. If they don't have the space, LootTrain will notify both person(s) involved instead of simply removing the item after it assumed success. In order for this feature to work, both person(s) must have 1.2 or higher installed, otherwise the same problem may exist. If their version information yields nil, it will bypass this check.
- As far as I know, tier counters should work for all levels of tier and all known tokens in the game currently. Please report any tier tokens and pieces or any level that do not count correctly to this thread.
- Raid Manager Window
Redesign in progress. Features removed until further notice in order to make massive changes to the system.
Other Fixes and Compatibility Checks
- Minimap Button is now compatible with SexyMap.
- LootFrame integration is now also compatible with XLoot.
- Localization Table has been crafted and seems to work well. A minor performance hit was taken, but it really has no impact on the performance of the game.
None have been at the moment.
