LootAgain v0.1.0-beta20
What's new
Changelog
0.1.0-beta20 — 2026-10-18
WoW Forever: 1.60.1 · Interface 16001. The user confirmed Beta19 selection restoration in game. The new Beta20 comparison and rank checks are locally tested; in-game validation remains pending.
- Import automatically compares the current character’s selections with the backup. Each difference shows Current and In the backup side by side, with item names and counts. Choose the desired selection for each raid, then apply the reviewed import. Matching selections need no decision.
- No advance restore-mode choice is required. View import summary shows the resulting selections before anything is applied. A changed selection must be reviewed again; valid decisions survive a language change or preview refresh.
- Every guild member can restore their own local selections. Shared guild data requires the guild master or a rank explicitly enabled for Restore guild data under Options → Raid rules and ranks. This is separate from permission to change reservation limits. Without that grant, shared data is skipped.
- Only the logged-in character’s selections are restored. Log into other characters separately to recover their choices. Restored selections remain drafts; submit them normally for a binding reservation. Recovery snapshots, older backups and saved data remain supported.
0.1.0-beta19 — 2026-10-18
WoW Forever: 1.60.1 · Interface 16001. Beta18 copy/paste and import confirmation were observed in game; the new choice-restore mode still needs in-game confirmation.
- Import now offers Keep current choices or Restore saved choices. The latter returns the backed-up characters’ local selections to the saved state, including empty selections.
- The preview lists Current, Backup and After import with item names per character and raid, before applying anything.
- Restored choices remain drafts: submit them explicitly for a binding reservation. Confirmed reservations, deadlines and newer loot history are not rolled back. The pre-import recovery snapshot can undo the change.
0.1.0-beta18 — 2026-10-18
WoW Forever: 1.60.1 · Interface 16001. The import fix and text sizing still require confirmation in game.
- Larger text in boss loot lists: item names increase from 12 to 14 pixels, and equipment-slot labels from 10 to 12 pixels. Row spacing accommodates wrapped names.
- Fix backup import after copying and pasting through the game’s text fields. Existing backups remain supported, including escaped separators.
- New exports use clipboard-safe text encoding. Checksums, import previews, conflict checks and recovery snapshots remain in place. Saved guild data is unchanged; keep your SavedVariables when updating.
0.1.0-beta17 — 2026-10-18
- Ornate gold frames around item icons throughout the addon, preserving the original icon sizes.
- A moving gold light trail marks the selected item in distribution and the item in the roll window.
- An animated hourglass marks a chosen recipient awaiting handover. Confirmed delivery replaces it with a quiet check seal; delivery to the planned enchanter uses a violet rune seal. Once handed over, the frame stops glowing. A different recipient remains visibly flagged.
- More compact reservation rows. Repeated loot conditions appear once above their group, while item-specific conditions remain attached to their items.
0.1.0-beta16 — 2026-10-18
WoW Forever: 1.60.1 · Interface 16001. The new guild controls require an in-game check.
- Choose one or two reservations per raid under Options → Raid rules and ranks. The guild master assigns the authorized ranks using their actual guild names.
- Preserve the limit of an opened lockout. Apply changed limits to the next period, and retain existing drafts and history when reducing from two choices to one.
- Synchronize the editor, time and old/new value. Show the latest change beside each raid, in the slot tooltip, and in a permanent change history.
- Reconfirm permissions after rank-structure changes. Show concurrent edits for explicit resolution.
- Include guild rules in full backup/restore. Preserve existing data and Beta15 backups; imported rules need guild-master confirmation.
- Apply the participant window’s dark palette, gold title gradients and corner inlays to the other addon windows.
- Filter disenchant recipients to present guild enchanters reported by their own clients. Remember the last successful selection and preselect it when available.
- German and English controls. All participants need Beta16 (protocol 8). No PDF guides included.
0.1.0-beta15 — 2026-10-18
WoW Forever: 1.60.1 · Interface 16001. New backup/restore controls require an in-game check.
- Add complete guild-data backup, multipart text import with preview, and recovery of the pre-import state.
- Retain full raid evenings including gold permanently; display forty per page and include all pages in CSV export.
- Keep reservation lockout archives and roll receipts when updating. Older backups cannot silently replace newer records; conflicting evidence blocks imports.
- Add an optional after-raid backup reminder and
/la backup. - Include German and English controls. PDF guides are temporarily omitted. All participants need Beta15 (protocol 7).
0.1.0-beta14 — 2026-10-17
- Permanent guild-scoped All-Time archive beyond forty detailed evenings; duplicate-safe loot/roll projection, recipient corrections and separate disenchanter totals.
- Raid/dungeon filters, loot/trophy sorting, class-coloured character rows and paged item details in German and English. Existing retained loot and last complete round are imported.
- Approved unlucky raven trophy in distribution, own low-roll result and lifetime counters; tied lowest raw rolls each earn one trophy after a completed shared attempt.
- Original victory fanfare after the winner's animation, once only; options toggle and preview, game audio preferences, and built-in sound-kit fallback.
- Bounded archive transfers with original writer checks, paused during active rolls. Protocol 6; all clients must update together.
- Offline Lua 5.1 and native-widget preview checks; live multiplayer/archive/audio confirmation remains pending.
0.1.0-beta13 — 2026-10-17
- Restyle the participant window at 572 × 300: open 200px die stage, darker shaded surfaces, gold corner inlays, compact item and winner groups, and a rarity-coloured icon rim.
- Label the personal die as Your roll; show the raw + bonus calculation below only after the animation. A compact received-roll count/progress bar stays current.
- Preserve dismissal, tooltips, winner persistence, roll ranking, the Low-Roller Award, local-test/spectator modes and protocol 5. No new artwork or saved-data changes.
- Validation: 239 local Lua 5.1 checks passed; DE/EN offline previews inspected. The updated native appearance still needs in-game review.
0.1.0-beta12 — 2026-10-17
- Add a persistent 610 × 326 participant window with the existing 200 × 200 die on the left and item icon/name on the right. The completed result shows the winner's class icon, class-coloured name and total. Dismissal/reopening never rerolls; the next invitation resets the previous result.
- Sort received results by total (raw + bonus), descending, with pending results below. Fit six full result rows in distribution. Display sorting never modifies the underlying round or resolves actual ties.
- Add a visually separate Low-Roller Award for the lowest raw roll after a completed shared attempt. Equal-lowest rollers share it; their independent scroll area does not displace the six leading results. No award for incomplete/cancelled/tied rounds or sole-reserver assignment.
- Keep German/English controls, the 2.5-second die animation, bonus merge, delivery tracking and protocol 5. Local demo rolls retain the standalone die.
- Validation: 239 local Lua 5.1 checks passed, including persistence, dismissal/new invitations, ranking without model changes, raw-vs-total award selection, ties and 40-player layout. DE/EN offline previews use actual Lua widget geometry and original assets; in-game validation remains pending.
0.1.0-beta11 — 2026-10-17
- Add The Deadmines (5): 8 boss encounters, 9 NPCs and 24 Classic reference drops with German/English names and bundled icons; 23 reservable items, quest letter display only. No trash or quest-reward tables.
- Support group-leader/master-looter permissions, observed loot and rolls in ordinary five-player guild parties. The PM can request the first test run through the leader; stale requests cannot replace the active run.
- Add an explicit dungeon test period (about 24 hours), with two choices, locking and late approvals. Repeated dungeon tests grant no raid streak bonus and never reset the physical instance.
- Include eligible lower-quality Deadmines boss loot in delivery tracking/history/export. Keep the usual epic/legendary/recipe rule for raid history.
- Add a bilingual live-test quick guide. Retain beta10 PDFs, dice artwork and existing guild data. Protocol 5 requires all participants to update together.
- Validation: 234 local Lua 5.1 checks passed, including a five-client ordinary-party reservation/roll/actual-receipt/history scenario. Actual multiplayer client validation remains pending.
0.1.0-beta10 — 2026-10-17
- Add copy-specific disenchant planning, observed delivery to a chosen guild enchanter and a separate manual completion with material quantities, actor and timestamp.
- Export one source, one evening or all stored history as UTF-8 semicolon CSV. Preserve corrections, roll snapshots and gold totals without duplicating gold per item. Unknown sources stay unassigned; large exports split on complete rows.
- Use catalog translations for all 454 item captions in distribution and roll views, preserving native hyperlink payloads across mixed-language clients.
- Add two illustrated German PDF guides for players and master looters/raid leaders.
- Protocol 4: upgrade all participating clients together. Existing history and SavedVariables are retained.
- 225 local Lua 5.1 checks passed. New multiplayer behavior still needs an in-game check.
0.1.0-beta9 — 2026-10-17
- Replace raised numeral artwork with recessed gold channels matching the die pips. The front pip fades during the spin; after 2.5 seconds, a shallow ivory dent settles into the gold recess over 0.32 seconds.
- Keep the distribution window and all its rows above the main addon, with the personal die above both.
- Preserve synchronized player results throughout further animations, for reserved and free rolls and the spectator view. The personal die still reveals its own number at rest.
- Show per-copy handover status and confirmed/open totals. A winner remains pending until an actual loot receipt; a cleared slot without a receipt stays unconfirmed. Highlight a different actual recipient in red.
- Resolve Forever surname aliases in loot receipts as well as roll messages. Retain protocol 3 and the existing actual-award recording route.
- 214 local Lua 5.1 checks passed. The preview is rendered outside WoW; the new animation, layering and multiplayer handover workflow still require an in-game check.
0.1.0-beta8 — 2026-10-17
- Replace flat result text with pre-rendered, beveled gold numeral textures, projected individually onto the approved die's front plane.
- Render the bonus with matching gold glyphs; its approach gradually adopts the die face's perspective before merging into the total.
- Confine the brief additive glow to the result numerals, keeping the ivory surface visible.
- Compose totals from the digits 0–9 and a bonus plus sign; fit larger totals without storing a separate full die image for every outcome.
- Retain the 2.5-second spin, deferred local chat line and immediate server-result processing. Protocol remains 3.
- 211 local Lua 5.1 checks passed. Preview images/video use the shipped textures and exported Lua geometry; the new rendering still needs an in-game check.
0.1.0-beta7 — 2026-10-17
- Remove the surrounding window from the personal/local die. Keep the die above the main addon and its scroll rows; the spectator overview remains a compact window.
- Recognize Forever character display names with surnames, including roll formats with separate name fields. This fixes a server result remaining stuck at “waiting” while its chat line was already visible.
- Delay only the local animated roll's native chat line until the 2.5-second spin ends. The actual server event and addon synchronization are still processed immediately.
- Conceal premature results and winner text in the local distribution view during the spin. Then replace the front pip with the actual number, merge the bonus and briefly glow gold.
- Allow dragging the free-standing die and dismissing it with right click or Escape.
- 210 local Lua 5.1 checks passed; the corrected build still needs an in-game visual check.
0.1.0-beta6 — 2026-10-17
- Add live loot discovery from opened raid loot windows and a Distribute loot window that can be reopened. The appointed master looter handles distribution; the raid leader is the fallback only when no master looter is appointed.
- Match each physical drop against valid reservations for the current raid lockout and include only present, connected reservers. One eligible reserver needs no roll; several reservers each make their own 1–100 server roll. Unreserved loot supports an explicitly started free roll with no bonus.
- Show a personal roll popup to contenders and a smaller shared view to spectators. Announce the winner; require an explicit tiebreaker or restart for tied or incomplete rounds.
- Animate the approved ivory-and-gold LootAgain die at approximately 200 × 200 UI pixels: native 2D rotation and bounce for 2.5 seconds, followed by the real result, a merging bonus and a brief glow.
- Add the local roll test button and bonus field at the top of demo mode. This makes a real personal server roll without addon synchronization or history changes; the ordinary WoW roll chat message remains visible.
- Retain separate outcomes for identical drop copies and record the roll and bonus only with the actual recipient's loot message. Sole reservers have no fabricated roll; free rolls retain their zero-bonus result. Item transfer still uses WoW's ordinary loot interface.
- Use synchronization protocol 3. All participating clients must use beta6 together.
- Keep BWL, MC and AQ40 exclusively as Classic test catalogues. Actual Forever boss and loot catalogues remain pending verified data.
- Allow free rolls for actual loot from uncatalogued raid instances and keep the client-provided raid name in history.
- Local verification covers the changes; animation, actual loot detection and communication between several WoW Forever clients still require in-game validation.
0.1.0-beta5 — 2026-10-17
- Remove the restricted combat-log event subscription that can trigger Blizzard’s blocked-addon dialog immediately after loading or reloading.
- Keep raid identification through instance information and encounter completion; loot recipients and gold continue to use loot chat events.
- Add a regression check that records forbidden registration attempts even when Lua pcall catches an error.
0.1.0-beta4 — 2026-10-17
- Show reserver names, class icons and roll bonuses directly in each boss loot list.
- Keep absent reservers visible and distinguish pending changes in red without counting them as accepted reservations.
- Let item rows grow with the reservation list and translate the new labels into German and English.
0.1.0-beta3 — 2026-10-17
- Add a raid-evening history for up to 40 entries, with actual loot recipients, epic/legendary items and recipes of every quality.
- Record reported gold loot shares and preserve the reservation bonus and roll at the time of an award; support later recipient corrections.
- Add immediate, saved Auto / English / Deutsch language selection on a new options page.
- Restrict synchronization to the current guild and keep guild data separate.
- Display raid capacities and the gold LootAgain / Try Again Forever wordmark in the main window.
- Keep the two-reservations-per-raid rule and reset-based bonus progression, including multiple evenings in one lockout.
- Local Lua 5.1 checks cover the changes; live multi-client validation remains outstanding.
0.1.0-beta2 — 2026-10-16
- Replace unsupported UI symbol glyphs with native WoW textures and font-safe controls.
- Show bundled item names and slots while client item data is missing; switch to native tooltips when data arrives.
- Prevent delayed item replies from reopening a tooltip after leaving or hiding its row.
- First in-game screenshot reviewed; this update still requires an in-game check.
0.1.0-beta1 — 2026-10-16
- First native WoW Forever beta with personal reservations, shared overview and role-dependent administration.
- Up to two reservations per raid and lockout; +10 per consecutive repeat reservation, independent of attendance.
- Explicit submission for each lockout, fixed reservation states and approval of late changes.
- Shared raid state, permission checks, persistent history and reset timing from client data or manual configuration.
- Server-roll collection with reservation bonuses for present eligible members.
- Classic reference data for BWL, MC and AQ40: 454 visible unique items and 27 boss encounters, plus additional loot sources.
- Bundled WoW textures and an isolated 26-member demonstration.
- First in-game verification remains outstanding.
