What's new

v2.2.0.

Dropdown text is white when committed. The closed box always shows white now, whatever colour the option had in the list.

Quality is four tick boxes instead of a minimum, each labelled in its own colour. Green and blue without purple is exactly the case that now works. Two safeguards: unticking the last remaining quality is refused with a note, and an empty set found in saved variables is repaired on load — otherwise the addon would silently do nothing with no visible cause.

This ripples into the announcement, which now reads "unwanted BoE gear (green and blue)" rather than "and above", so the group is told what you'll actually take. That made the old message text stale, so it's in the migration list and will be replaced automatically. An existing minQuality setting converts to ticks: everything at or above the old threshold starts ticked.

General tab now holds the master switch, bind popup, reporting, minimap button, debug and the whole session log section. Loot rules is down to what counts as a greed, the quality ticks, timer behaviour and the auto-roll types — the things that actually decide a roll.

51 assertions plus the 8 roll-engine regressions, all green.

v2.1.0, all ten items done.

The consent line. Fixed at the source: old templates are detected on load and replaced. Detection catches the exact v1 defaults, plus anything containing a dead placeholder ({warden}, {consent}) or the "reply Yes or Agree" phrase. A genuinely custom message that only uses live placeholders is left alone. On first login after updating, he'll get a one-line notice that his saved message was replaced.

Reset button. Was a real bug, and nastier than it looked. The box skips refreshing while it has keyboard focus so it doesn't fight your typing — so pressing Reset with the cursor in the box updated the setting but not the display, and the next keystroke wrote the stale visible text back over it. That's very likely why the old wording survived his reset attempts. Reset now forces the text in and drops focus.

When the timer runs out is now two dropdowns, which answers his question directly. Nobody rolled at all → Need. Some rolled but one is still sitting there → Greed, because needing there breaks what the announcement promised the people who did greed. Both default as stated; a v1 fallback choice carries over into the partial slot.

Epic world drops flipped to a positive tick in the auto-roll list, unticked by default. Same behaviour, consistent direction. "Need anyway" is now just "Need".

Removed: "Only act inside dungeons and raids", the group size cap, and the prompt-at-size slider. The prompt now fires when you zone into a dungeon or raid with a group and aren't armed. That change surfaced a bug I hadn't hit before — zone events fire on every loading screen, so it would have re-prompted repeatedly inside one instance. Guarded and tested.

Report decisions is now "Report every decision to", default your own chat window. It fires on every decision including the "left this to a manual roll" notes. The party/raid option sends Needs only.

On the 5s slider: default is already 5, and his screenshot shows 5s, so I think he was reading the handle position. Nothing changed. If he actually saw 25s somewhere, that's a bug I haven't found yet and I'd want a screenshot of it.

39 assertions in the main suite plus the 8 roll-engine regressions, all passing. Ready to test.

v2.0.0. Warden.lua, Consent.lua and Exclusions.lua are gone; Session.lua and Filter.lua replace them. Five files down from seven, two tabs down from three.

Arming, Gargul-style. Not armed at login. Press Notify group & activate or /lwcheck, which posts one message and switches it on for this run. Leaving the instance disarms it, so the next dungeon needs a fresh announcement. Entering a different instance also disarms; arming outside and then walking in keeps it armed, since that's the normal case of setting up before you zone. The group-full prompt is a native popup, fires once per group per instance, and has an on/off toggle plus a size slider.

The message no longer asks for anything. It says what will happen and tells people the counter: roll Need and it passes.

Filter inverted. It's now a positive list, and the answer to your question is yes — ticking a type matches the item's class, so it covers every item of that type. Default is armour and weapons that aren't already bound, Uncommon and above. That's the "BoEs they can disenchant" set. Arcane Tome, Fel Armament, badges, tokens and quest items fall out for free because they're bind-on-pickup and aren't gear, which is exactly the effect you wanted without anyone typing item IDs. Gems, recipes and trade goods are extra ticks, all off.

Multiple users need no coordination now. They both need, the natural roll decides.

Two judgement calls worth flagging. First, if the client can't tell the addon what an item is, it's treated as a manual roll rather than guessed at. Second, an item that's off the list gets no fallback greed either. Without that, an excluded Fel Armament would still get auto-greeded five seconds before the timer, which isn't really a manual roll.

I folded the exclusions tab away since its contents are now four checkboxes that belong with the other filters. Easy to split back out if you'd rather have it separate.
