RollWarden
Takes the loot nobody wants, without you clicking Need on everything.
What it does
Green and blue BoEs drop all run. Everyone greeds them, they go to whoever's paying attention, and half of them get vendored anyway. RollWarden handles that for you — and only that.
Arm it at the start of a dungeon and it watches every group loot roll. When every other person has greeded or passed on an item, it rolls Need. If anyone else rolls Need, it passes immediately. Everything else — the tokens, the turn-ins, the bind-on-pickup gear people actually want — it never touches, so those still get a normal roll.
You arm it per run
RollWarden does nothing until you switch it on for a run.
Press Notify group & activate, or type /lwcheck. That posts one message in party or raid chat saying what it does, and arms it. Zone into a dungeon with a group and a prompt offers to do both in one click.
Nobody is asked for permission. Nobody is whispered. Nobody has to reply. The group is simply told, once:
RollWarden is active for this run. Yourname will roll Need on unwanted BoE gear (green and blue) — only items where everyone else has already greeded or passed.
If you want something, just roll Need on it and Yourname will pass. Everything else gets a normal roll.
Leaving the instance disarms it, so the next run needs a fresh announcement. It can't quietly keep running in a group that never heard about it.
The message is fully editable, with placeholders and a preview.
What it rolls on
A positive list, not a blocklist. If an item doesn't match, RollWarden clicks nothing at all — not Need, not Greed, not even when the timer runs out — so the roll window stays yours.
- Item types. Armour and weapons by default. Gems, recipes and trade goods are there as extra ticks, off by default. Ticking a type covers every item of that type, because it matches the item's class rather than any list of names.
- Binding. Only items that aren't already bound, so what's left is the BoE gear people disenchant or sell.
- Quality. Each quality is its own tick. Take greens and blues and leave purples to a manual roll if that's your group's norm.
- Epic world drops are their own tick, off by default.
That's why reputation turn-ins, badges, tokens and quest items fall out on their own — they're bind-on-pickup and they aren't gear, so they never qualify. No item IDs to look up, no list to maintain.
When the timer runs out
Somebody's gone AFK and the roll window is closing. Two different situations, so two settings:
| Situation | Default |
|---|---|
| Nobody else rolled at all | Need — nobody has shown any interest |
| Some rolled, at least one didn't | Greed — needing would go against what you told the group |
Session loot log
Everything won in a dungeon or raid is recorded per visit — roll wins and loot received, by anyone in the group — with clickable item links. Kept for 24 hours, then purged. Runs whether or not RollWarden is armed, so it works as a plain loot tracker.
Also
- Minimap button: left-click for settings, right-click to switch the addon off, drag to move. Its colour shows at a glance whether you're armed.
- Three tabs: This run, Loot rules, General.
- Reports what it rolled and why in your chat window, with the reason. The party/raid option sends Needs only.
- No library dependencies. Five Lua files, nothing embedded.

Worth knowing before you install
- Group loot only. Master looter, round robin and free-for-all don't produce roll windows, so there's nothing to work with.
- Other people's choices are read from chat. The game gives addons no way to ask what someone picked; the only source is the "has selected Greed" messages. Someone who never clicks is invisible until the roll expires, which is what the timer settings are for.
- Rolls can't be taken back. Because it waits for everyone, its Need usually lands in the last few seconds of the timer.
- If several people run it, nothing special happens. They both roll Need and the natural roll decides. No coordination, nothing to configure.
- The announcement is a courtesy, not a contract. Anyone can still Need on anything, and that makes RollWarden pass instantly.
