LayerAssist is a simple, user-friendly addon for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic (client version 5.5.0.62258) designed to assist with layer hopping. Whether you're hunting for rare spawns, gathering valuable resources, or trying to find an uncontested quest area, LayerAssist automates the entire process with a single click.

The addon operates through a private communication channel, connecting you with other LayerAssist users on your realm. When you request a hop, the addon intelligently "fingerprints" your current layer by scanning nearby players. It then broadcasts this information and listens for a response from someone on a different layer, who will automatically invite you. After a successful hop, the addon can even politely thank the inviter and leave the group for you, getting you back to your adventure without any hassle.

With a fully customizable minimap icon and a comprehensive settings menu, you can tailor every aspect of the addon to fit your playstyle perfectly.

## Features

🖱️ One-Click Operation

Request a Hop: Simply left-click the minimap icon to begin a 45-second search. The addon sends a single, successful broadcast and then enters a "listening" state, waiting for an invite from another layer.

Enable/Disable: Right-click the minimap icon to quickly toggle the entire addon on or off.

⚙️ Fully Customizable Interface

Movable Icon: Drag and drop the minimap icon anywhere on your screen. Its position is automatically saved across sessions.

• Resizable Icon: Use a slider in the options menu to adjust the size of the minimap icon to your liking.
• Visual Feedback: The icon's appearance changes to show its status:
• Normal: Enabled and ready.
• Glowing Yellow: Actively listening for an invite.
• Red & Desaturated: Addon is disabled.
• Cooldown Swipe: A visual timer shows the remaining cooldown before you can search again.
• Reset Button: If you ever lose the icon, a "Reset Icon Position" button in the settings will instantly return it to the center of your minimap.

⏱️ Automated & Intelligent Timing

• Automatic Group Leaving: After a successful hop, the addon will wait for a configurable amount of time (default 30 seconds) before automatically sending a "Thank you" message and leaving the party. This can be disabled in the options.
• Safety Timers: A smart timeout feature ensures the auto-leave function only triggers if you join a group shortly after requesting a hop, preventing it from leaving a group you formed manually for a dungeon or questing.
• Customizable Sliders: The options menu features a "Timing & Delays" section where you can use sliders to control every variable:
• Search Duration (how long it listens).
• Search Cooldown (time between searches).
• Auto-Leave Time.
• Safety Request Timeout.

🔧 Comprehensive Settings Panel (/la)

• Easy Access: Simply type /la in chat to open the detailed configuration panel.
• Communication Options: Choose between using invisible addon-to-addon messages (more efficient) or a visible, custom chat channel as a fallback.
• Debugging Tools: A toggle for detailed debug messages to help with troubleshooting.
• Full Reset: A "Clear Database" button allows you to instantly reset all addon settings to their defaults and reload the UI.
