Larry Forever saves a character’s setup as a named profile and lets you apply that setup to another character. Saving always stores every category the addon can capture. When you load a profile, you choose which of those saved categories to apply: CVars, UI layout, bag settings, and keybinds. You pick whole categories, not individual settings inside them.
What a profile stores
- CVars — portable console variables. Locked, secure, read-only, and non-portable CVars are left out.
- UI layout — your active custom Edit Mode layout. Save a custom layout first; Blizzard’s built-in presets cannot be copied. If the layout exists only on the character that saved it, loading creates that character’s own copy.
- Bag settings — per-bag item-type filters, sort and insert direction, and backpack autosort and sell-junk flags. Bag window position and warbank filters are left as they are.
- Keybinds — the keys in your current binding set. They are written to the binding set already in use. A character still on the default set receives them as character-specific bindings, so other characters keep their account bindings.
Using it
Open the window with /larry or /larryforever. Enter a name and save. To load, pick a profile, check the categories you want, and confirm. Loading is blocked in combat. Larry Forever also asks before overwriting an existing profile. Applying a profile reloads the UI when the categories you chose need it.
Tools
These actions are separate from profiles:
- Clear All Action Bars removes every action from your bars. This is blocked in combat and cannot be undone.
- Abandon Non-Warbound Quests abandons that character’s quests and leaves warbound and account quests alone.
Both ask you to confirm before they run.
