What's new
KinFolk 0.18.10 (Beta) FINAL BEFORE LAUNCH!!
Everything since 0.18.8.
Moving to the live game
- Setup code (officers): the live game is a new install, so your beta setup will not be there. Before the beta ends, open Settings, Guild setup, and click Copy setup code. Save the code outside the game (a Discord message works). In your new guild, set KinFolk up, then click Paste setup code. It copies your settings, guild profile, raid teams (without members), and loot rules, and shows exactly what it will copy first. No members, notes, or history are copied.
Crafting
- Crafting cooldowns: see whether a crafter's cooldown craft, like a transmute, is ready before you ask. In their recipe list and in search results, a recipe on cooldown reads "On cooldown, ready in 1 d 4 h", and Request to that crafter is greyed out until then. Ask the guild still works, so another crafter can take it. Crafters only need to open their profession window with KinFolk on.
- Shorter request lines: a request's mats line reads "You still need: 30 Gromsblood (0 of 30)" and always fits its row.
Raids
- Loot window as a table: the loot master and council see every answer in columns that follow the loot system (rolls, bids and DKP, EP and GP, or votes and notes), with short status tags like "Under min". Hover a tag for the reason, or a name for everything about that player.
- Wishlists: raiders list up to 10 items they want, most wanted first. Add an item from the loot pop-up, from the Loot history, by shift-clicking it, or from "Seen in our raids", the items your raids have looted. My wishlist sits at the top of every Raids page. Each team picks Off, Shown to the loot master and council, or Also breaks ties. Soft reserves work as before.
- Attendance for main spec (need and greed): a team can set the attendance needed for main spec. Raiders below it are ranked after everyone above it. The bench counts as attended, and new raiders are left alone until they have two nights. Off unless a team sets it.
- Attendance penalties (DKP and EPGP): points for arriving late or leaving early, with their own switch, off by default. Every penalty is its own line in the points history and can be undone.
- Can't make it: raiders can tell the raid leaders they can't come, with a reason. Officers and raid leaders get an offer to move up a bench player of the same role, and a warning when roles fall short, like "1 healer short". Nobody is moved without a click.
- Loot window on a boss kill: when a boss dies, the loot master's window opens and asks them to open the corpse. The loot windows open in the middle of the screen, the pop-up below the loot master's window.
- Master loot is new, so tell us how it goes: the loot master's window warns when your group is not on Master loot. If handing out an item goes wrong, type /kinfolk lootcheck and paste what it prints in the KinFolk Discord.
Class Guide
- Easier to read: talents, stat priority, and rotations are now laid out in parts: who a build is for, what it is good and not as good at side by side, a talent table with points, a ranked stat list, and numbered rotation steps.
Members
- New members to follow up (officers): members who joined in the last 14 days and nobody has reached out to yet, with an optional buddy. Mark them Contacted when done.
Support
- KinFolk Discord: to report bugs, share feedback, or request features, visit https://discord.gg/PEqPRQ95Wd. The link is in Settings, on the home page, and at the end of /kinfolk help, with a Copy link button.
