KIC-LFGSort_v0.17.9.zip
What's new
v0.17.3
New
- Added an X button to manually hide the KIC window without disabling applicant sorting.
- Added a draggable minimap "K" button.
- Added /kic to open or close the KIC configuration window outside the applicant viewer.
- Added a group composition panel attached below the main KIC window.
- Added Raid Buff tracking with visual present/missing indicators.
- Added a Utility section for:
- Bloodlust / Heroism
- Combat Resurrection
- Healthstones
- Added a Group Defensives section for:
- Rallying Cry
- Darkness
- Anti-Magic Zone
- Zephyr
- Aura Mastery
- Power Word: Barrier
- Spirit Link Totem
- Composition entries use spell icons, tooltips, desaturation for missing effects, and green/red status indicators.
- The composition panel can be independently minimized and remembers its state.
- Compact KIC mode automatically collapses the composition panel.
Changed
- "Unique Classes" has been replaced by "Unique Specs".
- Unique Specs now suppresses only an already represented specialization instead of the entire class. Example: Arms Warrior no longer prevents Fury Warrior from being considered Preferred.
- Accepted LFG invites count toward Unique Specs.
- Simply sending an invite still does not count.
- The legacy DB.uniqueClasses SavedVariables key is retained for backwards compatibility.
- Raid Buffs now contain 11 actual raid-buff effects; Healthstones were moved to Utility.
- Bloodlust availability recognizes Shaman, Mage, Hunter and Evoker.
- Combat Resurrection availability recognizes Death Knight, Druid, Paladin and Warlock.
- Composition panel icons and section labels were enlarged for better readability.
- Added visual separators between composition section labels and their icons.
- Collapsed composition summary now uses clearer separators: Raid X/11 | Util X/3 | Def X/7
- Increased the main KIC window default and minimum height to 410 px.
UI / Quality of Life
- Minimap button position is saved between sessions.
- The composition panel's minimized state is saved between sessions.
- The composition panel's own + button is hidden while the entire KIC sorter is in Compact Mode.
- Improved spacing and visual separation of the minimized composition panel.
- Standalone /kic configuration retains all normal sorting and preference settings.
Technical
- Preserved Blizzard's default Group Finder applicant UI.
- Preserved native dungeonScore usage with no Raider.IO dependency.
- Refactored supporting code to remain within WoW Lua upvalue and top-level local-variable limits.
- Kept the stable class/spec grid initialization path isolated from optional composition UI.
v0.17.4 – v0.17.6
Changed
- Reduced the expanded composition panel width to fit its icon rows instead of matching the entire main-window width.
- Changed the collapsed composition summary label from "Raid" to "Buffs".
- Added distinct colors for better visual separation:
- Raid Buffs: gold
- Utility: blue
- Group Defensives: purple
- Applied the same section colors to both the expanded panel and collapsed summary.
- The collapsed summary now displays: Buffs X/11 | Util X/3 | Def X/7
- Renamed the visible "Clear Selection" button to "Clear Specs" so the label fits correctly.
Fixed
- Removed unnecessary empty space from the right side of the expanded composition panel.
- The collapsed composition panel now calculates its width from the actual summary text and toggle button.
- Removed the remaining unnecessary empty space from the collapsed composition panel.
v0.17.7
Changed
- Replaced the optional Purgatory system with an always-active specialization Blacklist.
- Removed the Purgatory enable/disable button.
- Right-clicking a specialization icon now directly adds or removes that spec from the Blacklist.
- A party containing any blacklisted specialization is moved below the red separator.
- Friend Rule: Above All continues to override the Blacklist.
- Blacklist continues to override Preferred specs, Priority RIO and Priority ilvl.
- Blacklisted specs retain their red outline in both full and Compact Mode.
- Moved the Unique Specs button into the former Purgatory button position.
- Updated related buttons and tooltips to use the Blacklist terminology.
Compatibility
- Existing Purgatory spec selections are automatically migrated to the new Blacklist.
- Obsolete Purgatory SavedVariables are removed after migration.
- Existing preferred specs and unrelated settings remain unchanged.
v0.17.8
Technical
- Split the previous monolithic Lua source into focused modules:
- KIC-Data.lua for static class, specialization and composition data.
- KIC-Sorting.lua for applicant evaluation, sorting tiers and separators.
- KIC-Composition.lua for the group composition panel.
- KIC-LFGSort.lua for the main UI, settings, events and minimap integration.
- Added all runtime modules to the TOC in dependency order.
- Preserved the existing KICLFGSortDB SavedVariables database.
- Preserved all existing sorting rules and Blizzard Group Finder integration.
- Preserved the stable BuildSorterClassGrid and specialization-button creation path.
- Preserved the initialization order that builds the main Specs UI before the optional composition panel.
- Reduced pressure on WoW's top-level local-variable and function upvalue limits.
- No intentional user-facing behavior or layout changes were introduced by the refactor.
