KIC LFG Sorter

KIC LFG Sorter is a lightweight Mythic+ applicant sorting and preference addon built around Blizzard's default Group Finder UI.

Instead of replacing the applicant window with a completely different interface, KIC LFG Sorter keeps the familiar Blizzard experience and adds powerful tools for organizing applicants based on exactly what your group needs.

Applicants are never automatically rejected or hidden.

KIC simply organizes them into clear priority sections so the players you are looking for are easier to find.

Preferred Classes & Specializations

Choose exactly which classes or individual specializations you want to prioritize.

Left-click a specialization to toggle it individually.

You can also click a class header to quickly select or deselect every specialization of that class.

Applicants matching your active preferences are moved into the Preferred section at the top of the Blizzard applicant list.

Role-Based Specialization Layout

Specializations are automatically organized inside each class for easier scanning:

Tank → Healer → Melee DPS → Ranged DPS

Each specialization icon also displays its role.

This makes it much easier to quickly identify exactly what each applicant can play without replacing Blizzard's existing Group Finder interface.

Quick Role Selection

Quickly select entire role groups with one click:

• All Tanks
• All Healers
• All Melee DPS
• All Ranged DPS

If only some specializations from a role are selected, clicking the button selects all of them.

If every matching specialization is already selected, clicking it again clears that role group.

Priority Item Level & Mythic+ Rating

Set optional preference thresholds for:

Priority ilvl

Priority RIO

These are priority thresholds — not hard filters.

Applicants below your configured values are still visible and can still be invited normally. They simply remain outside the Preferred section.

Leaving a value blank or setting it to 0 disables that threshold.

KIC LFG Sorter uses the Mythic+ dungeon score provided directly by the WoW API and does not require Raider.IO as a dependency.

Multiple Preference Rules

Your active preference rules work together.

For example, if you select:

• Fire Mage
• Priority ilvl 620
• Priority RIO 2800

then an applicant must satisfy all enabled criteria to enter the Preferred section.

You can use specialization preferences, rating thresholds, item-level thresholds or any combination of them.

Smart Party Application Handling

Applications containing multiple players can be evaluated using configurable party rules.

Party Rule

Choose how class/spec preferences should behave for grouped applicants.

One match enough

At least one member of the applying party must match one of your selected specialization preferences.

Everyone must match

Every member of the applying party must match your selected specialization preferences.

This setting only controls class/spec preference matching.

Priority ilvl and Priority RIO are evaluated separately.

Party Calc

Choose how KIC calculates Item Level and Mythic+ Rating for multi-player applications:

Highest

Uses the highest value found in the applying party.

Average

Uses the average value of all members.

Lowest

Uses the lowest value found in the applying party.

The selected method applies to both Priority ilvl and Priority RIO.

For example, if two players apply together with ratings of 3000 and 1000:

Highest: 3000
Average: 2000
Lowest: 1000

Sort by RIO

Enable Sort by RIO to sort applicants by Mythic+ Rating from highest to lowest.

Sorting is performed independently inside the different applicant sections.

This means Preferred applicants stay above Normal applicants, while Purgatory applicants remain at the bottom.

Disable this option if you prefer Blizzard's normal ordering inside each section.

Unique Classes

Unique Classes is an optional group-composition helper.

When enabled, a preferred class stops being considered Preferred once that class is already represented in your group.

KIC checks:

• Your own class
• Current party members
• Current raid members
• Players you have already invited through the Group Finder

Pending Group Finder invitations count immediately — the invited player does not need to accept first.

Example

You have Mage selected as Preferred.

A Mage applies and you invite them.

As soon as the invite is sent, other Mage applicants stop being Preferred and move into the Normal section.

They remain completely visible and can still be invited.

If the Mage leaves, declines the invite or is otherwise no longer part of your planned group composition, Mage applicants can become Preferred again.

Unique Classes only affects Preferred matching.

It does not place applicants into Purgatory.

Purgatory

Purgatory is an optional second-level sorting system for specializations you currently do not want.

It is disabled by default.

When enabled:

Right-click a specialization icon to add or remove that specialization from Purgatory.

Purgatory specializations are displayed with a red border.

If any member of an applying party uses a Purgatory specialization, the entire application is placed into the Purgatory section.

Purgatory overrides:

• Preferred specialization matching
• Priority RIO
• Priority ilvl
• Unique Classes
• Other Preferred rules

A very highly rated Purgatory applicant therefore still remains below the red separator.

Purgatory selections are saved between sessions.

Turning Purgatory OFF temporarily disables the system without deleting your saved Purgatory specialization choices.

Applicant Sections

Depending on your configuration, the Blizzard applicant list can be organized into three sections:

Preferred

Applicants matching your configured preference rules.

Normal

Applicants that do not currently qualify as Preferred.

Purgatory

Applicants containing at least one specialization you placed into Purgatory.

The visual ordering is:

Empty Preferred Section

If you have active preference rules but nobody currently matches them, KIC displays the yellow separator above the entire applicant list.

This makes it immediately obvious that your Preferred section is currently empty.

The applicants remain visible underneath the separator.

Preferred Applicant Separator

A visible yellow separator automatically marks the boundary between Preferred applicants and everyone else.

No fake applicant rows are inserted.

The separator is drawn directly into Blizzard's existing applicant list and follows the list correctly while scrolling.

Purgatory Separator

When Purgatory is enabled and at least one Purgatory applicant exists, a red separator marks the beginning of the Purgatory section.

Everything below the red line contains a specialization you explicitly placed into Purgatory.

KIC Sorter Toggle

KIC LFG Sorter integrates directly into Blizzard's Group Finder applicant window with a simple:

When enabled:

• The KIC preference window is shown
• Preferred applicant sorting is active
• Priority ilvl and Priority RIO are active
• Unique Classes can be used
• Purgatory can be used
• Applicant separators are displayed
• Optional RIO sorting is applied

When disabled:

• The KIC window is hidden
• KIC applicant prioritization stops
• Blizzard's normal applicant ordering is restored
• Your KIC settings remain saved

Clear Selection

Use Clear Selection to quickly reset specialization choices.

It clears:

• Preferred specialization selections
• Purgatory specialization selections

It does not reset:

• Priority RIO
• Priority ilvl
• Party Rule
• Party Calc
• Sort by RIO
• Unique Classes
• Purgatory enabled/disabled state

Movable & Resizable Interface

The KIC LFG Applicant Sorter window can be freely moved and resized.

Specialization icons automatically adapt to the available space.

Window position and size are saved between sessions.

Lightweight by Design

KIC LFG Sorter is designed to improve Blizzard's existing Group Finder rather than replace it.

It does not replace the applicant window.

It does not automatically reject applicants.

It does not hide players that fail your preferences.

It does not automatically invite players.

It does not require Raider.IO.

It simply gives group leaders more control over how Mythic+ applicants are organized and prioritized.
