Kairos

Kairos is an experimental rotation helper for World of Warcraft Retail: Midnight. It shows what to press next, with keybind text and a Cooldowns toggle. It recommends spells; it never sends input to the game.

Current support

• Arcane Mage (Sunfury): SimulationCraft-based priorities with modeled Arcane Salvo and Cumulative Power. Spellslinger is not supported yet.
• Demonology Warlock: Experimental priorities for leveling and hero talents, with an estimated Wild Imp count.
• Other specializations: Blizzard Assisted Combat recommendations, marked with an AC badge.

Kairos reconstructs state from the non-secret signals available to addons. When a recommendation depends on unknown state, it falls back to Blizzard's Assisted Combat pick. The queued icon is withheld when a reliable next pick is unavailable.

Setup

Install the Kairos addon folder, then run /kairos status to confirm it loaded. Use /kairos config to open settings, /kairos unlock to move the display, and /kairos lock to lock it. Bind the Cooldowns toggle under Key Bindings > AddOns > Kairos. Keep enemy nameplates enabled for enemy counting.

Experimental status

Arcane and Demonology are still being validated. Proc and summon estimates can drift, and raid and Mythic+ validation is incomplete. Kairos includes a flight recorder, automatic secrecy probes and advanced combat logging, enabled by default for offline testing; these have settings controls. Combat logs are never read live by the addon.

The addon has no library dependencies and needs no build step. The development repository also contains the offline translator, tests and replay tools; those are not part of the addon download.

The theory behind Kairos

Read Kairos: Rebuilding Priority Recommendations for an explanation of the addon's approach. I also publish the progress of how close Kairos is getting to the SimC APL and compare it to how well Blizzard's Assisted Combat does in the same runs.
