What's new
Changelog
4.1.1
- Installable on Classic Era, TBC Anniversary and Mists of Pandaria Classic as well: the Jukebox and its packs list these clients. A client without the new context menus gets the same right-click entries from the old drop down menu.
4.1.0
First release of Jukebox, the successor of SoundBox, rebuilt for modern clients.
New
- Runs on WoW Midnight (12.1.5) and WoW Forever. The WotLK 3.3.5 version of SoundBox stays available separately.
- Sound packs: the sounds now come in separate addons, so everyone installs only the packs they want. Anyone can make and share a pack.
- Two packs come with Jukebox:
- World of Warcraft: 51 sounds of the game itself (raid bosses, C'Thun, dungeons, peons, emotes, interface).
- Classical: 17 extracts of famous classical pieces from free recordings. Its folder is laid out like a standalone pack and can be copied as a template.
- New window, in the style of the game journals:
- sounds sorted by pack and section, with a search box and a random button;
- Favorites (most played and pinned sounds), Recent and New (sounds of the latest version of your packs);
- sounds you have never heard are shown in green;
- right-click a sound to preview it alone, send it to your target, pin it or make a macro of it;
- a channel menu (auto, party, guild, whisper), a Stop button and a status bar showing the current sound;
- built-in help in English and French.
- Chat commands:
/jb <sound>,/jb <tag>for a random sound (pull,death,down,classic…),/jb <pack> <section>, channel options (_party,_raid,_guild,_target,_<player>) and/jb _stop. - A
Jukeboxmacro is created on first login, and Jukebox is in the addon menu of the minimap. - Group leader commands:
/jbadmin mute <minutes>,/jbadmin unmuteand/jbadmin stop.
Changed
- The chat line is now short and always fits on one line:
[JB][Name] Pack Section sound. The last word is the name to use with/jb, and the realm is hidden. - One sound at a time for the whole group: while a sound plays, the next ones are only shown in the chat.
- Players who miss a pack, or have another version of it, get a single warning instead of a line for every sound.
- Sound names are shorter and easier to read. Packs can rename their sounds without breaking old macros, favorites or players still on an older version.
- A warning tells you when your Sound Effects volume is too low to hear the sounds.
