Description
ItemQuester Forever
Quest and profession context on every item tooltip — built for World of Warcraft: Forever.
Hover an item in your bags or bank and instantly see whether it’s needed for a quest, how many you still need, and whether any of your learned profession recipes use it as a reagent.

What it does
Quest items
- Shows which quest the item belongs to (name, level, zone)
- Status: in progress, ready to turn in, not in log, completed, repeatable, and more
- Have / Needed counts when known; estimated values marked with (*?)
- Optional Questie / QuestieDB integration for completed and future quests (keep items you’ll need later)
- Quest titles colored by difficulty relative to your level ([20] Quest Name)
- Alt + Right-click a bag item to open that quest in the log (when available)
Profession items
- Lists learned recipes that use the item as a reagent
- Have / Needed per recipe so you know if you can craft
- Scan recipes when you open a profession (optional preload on login)

Why it’s different from similar addons
| Focus | ItemQuester Forever |
|---|---|
| Quests and professions in one tooltip | Yes |
| QuestieDB index (objectives + source items), not only the active log | Yes |
| Future / completed quest awareness | Yes (with Questie) |
Estimated counts clearly marked (*?) |
Yes |
| Race/class filter + configurable quest blacklist | Yes |
| Profession reagent Have / Needed | Yes |
| Full options panel (toggles, colors, sections) | Yes |
| Forever-oriented (optional QuestieDB Forever data) | Yes |
Similar tools often stop at “this is a quest item” or only work for quests already in your log. ItemQuester Forever aims to answer: Should I keep it, craft with it, send it to an alt, or sell it?

Requirements
- World of Warcraft: Forever
- Optional but recommended: Questie / QuestieDB for completed and future quest lookup
Without Questie, the addon still works using your active quest log.
Notes
- Open each profession once (or enable preload) so recipe reagents can be cached.
- (*?) means the required count is estimated — you may need more than shown.
- Alt + Right-click uses your bag UI; some bag addons may need the default bag frame for the hotkey.
Keep what matters. Craft what you can. Vendor the rest — with context on every hover.
