ICN2: Immersive Character Needs 2
ICN2 is a lightweight yet survival simulation addon for World of Warcraft. Designed for roleplayers and immersion enthusiasts, it adds the missing layer of biological needs to your character: Hunger, Thirst, and Fatigue.
ICN2 features a dynamic "Rate Engine" that reacts to how you play. Your character isn't just a bar that goes down, it is a living being affected by the environment, their equipment, and their actions.
Core Features
- Dynamic Need Tracking: Manage your character's Hunger, Thirst, and Fatigue in real-time.
- Context-Aware Simulation: Your needs change based on what you are doing.
- Swimming makes you hungrier.
- Flying increases thirst.
- Heavy Armor (Plate) wears you out faster than Cloth.
- Resting in inns or near campfires helps you recover.
- Lore-Accurate Pools: Every race has different maximum need values. An Vulpera might go longer without water than a Human, reflecting their unique biology.
- Immersive Emotes: Your character will automatically emote (stomach growling, yawning, etc.) when your needs reach critical levels, letting everyone around you know how you feel.
- Basic HUD: A customizable, draggable, and scalable interface that shows your status and whether your needs are currently rising or falling.
Choose Your Pace
Whether you want a hardcore survival experience or a light roleplay flavor, ICN2 fits your playstyle with adjustable presets:
- Slow: For long sessions where you only want to eat/drink occasionally.
- Medium: The standard, balanced experience.
- Fast: For those who want survival to be a constant priority.
- Custom: Fine-tune the decay of each individual need.
Extra Features
- Well-Fed Bonus: Finishing a meal doesn't just fill your bar; the "Well-Fed" buff will actually pause your hunger decay for 5 minutes.
- Cross-Need Impact: Be careful! If one need becomes critical (0%), it will begin to subtly drain your other needs a little faster.
Commands
/icn2 - Open the Options panel.
/icn2 status - Check your current levels in the chat box.
/icn2 reset - Reset all needs (for testing or troubleshooting).
/icn2 hud - Quickly toggle the interface.
A Note for Roleplayers
ICN2 was built with the "Rule of Fun" in mind. It provides a mechanical reason to visit inns, sit by campfires, and share feasts with your party without being overly punishing.
