Huntwell changelog
0.4.3
- Tidier settings panel. Notes no longer overlap the controls below them or spill out of their cards, the longer labels are shorter, and the help text at the bottom has its own space.
0.4.2
- Fixed (properly this time): the pet reminder and the Call Pet button didn't call your pet. The game keeps renaming that spell ("Call Pet", "Call Bruce", "Call Bear"), so both buttons now cast it by its spell ID, which never changes.
0.4.1
- Fixed: the pet reminder and the Call Pet button in the menu sometimes did nothing when clicked. The game renames Call Pet after your pet ("Call Bruce") and switches it back when the pet is gone, and the buttons were still using the old name. They now check the spell's current name before every click, when your pet comes or goes, and as combat starts.
0.4.0 — reminders
- Pet reminder. Out of combat, a one-click button under the medallion calls your pet when it isn't out. If your pet is dead it revives it instead.
- Aspect reminder. When no Aspect is active, a one-click button casts the Aspect you last used.
- Low-ammo warning. You get one warning when your ammo drops below a number you choose (Settings → Ammo, default 200, or Off), and another when you run out. The count on the medallion turns amber while you're low. Warnings reset once you restock.
- Middle-click falls back on a Healthstone. It uses your best healing potion first, and a Healthstone only if you have no potion at all.
- The medallion's core now has a faint arrowhead, matching the addon's icon.
- Both reminders can be turned off in Settings → Reminders.
0.3.1
- Fixed: ammo stocking did nothing if you had an empty bag slot. It now tops up your quiver or ammo pouch as intended.
0.3.0 — always stocked
- Your quiver or ammo pouch stays full. Backup ammo in your other bags moves in whenever there's room. It tops up a part-used stack before starting a new one, and the ammo you have equipped goes in first.
- Arrows go to quivers and bullets to ammo pouches, by the game's own rules, so ammo the game adds later is handled too.
- It never moves anything in combat, while you're dragging an item, or with a vendor or the bank open. You can sell or store ammo without it fighting you.
- Turn it off in Settings → Ammo, or with
/hunt stock./hunt bagsshows what it would move next.
0.2.1
- Middle-click now drinks your best healing potion, picked by how much it heals. Any healing potion the game adds later is found too. The key binding is now called "Drink best healing potion".
- Fixed the Key Bindings section showing the wrong addon name.
0.2.0 — the spell menu
- Left-click the medallion for your spells, sorted into rows:
- Pet: Call, Revive, Mend, Feed and Dismiss, plus Tame Beast and Beast Training.
- Aspects, Tracking (including Find Treasure for Dwarves), Attacks (shots and melee strikes), Stings & Marks, Traps and Utility (Feign Death, Flare, your racial and the like).
- Rows only show spells you actually know. Anything you train later joins its row automatically, and a row stays hidden until it has something in it.
- The Call Pet button follows your pet's name ("Call Bruce"), even after you tame a new one.
0.1.2
- Counts all your ammo, not just one kind. With a bow or crossbow the medallion counts every arrow in your bags; with a gun, every bullet. Any new arrows or bullets the game adds are counted automatically.
- Hover the medallion for a breakdown by type, plus a warning if your ammo slot is empty or holds ammo your weapon can't fire.
- No number shows with a thrown weapon, a wand or no ranged weapon.
0.1.1
- Ammo count on the sigil. The medallion now shows how much of the ammo in your ammo slot you're carrying, across all your bags and pouches. Big stacks shrink to fit, and anything from 10,000 up shows as "12k".
- Out of ammo pulses red. An empty ammo slot shows a red 0.
- If the game stops reporting your ammo mid-fight, the last count stays up, greyed, until it can be read again.
- Hover the sigil to see which ammo it's counting.
0.1.0 — first beta
Huntwell is a Hunter toolkit for World of Warcraft: Forever, from the maker of Emberwell. This first build does very little on purpose: Forever's Hunter kit isn't documented anywhere, so before Huntwell adds buttons for Aspects, traps or your pet, it needs to see what your client actually has.
- The sigil. A brass rune medallion with a glowing core and antlers beneath, which you can drag anywhere. Left-click opens the menu, right-click opens settings, and middle-click drinks your best healing potion (or bind a key under Key Bindings → Huntwell). The menu is empty for now.
- Three looks, named for Aspects: Wild (fel green), Hawk (amber) and Viper (teal). Pick one in settings.
- It reads your client. Every time you log in and out, Huntwell quietly notes your spellbook, your bags and quiver, your ammo slot, and what the game will say about your pet. Nothing is printed and nothing is sent anywhere; it sits in your SavedVariables file.
- You can look too:
/hunt spells,/hunt bagsand/hunt petshow what it found./huntlists every command. - Combat-safe. The sigil can fade or hide in combat (Settings → In combat), and Huntwell never moves or rebuilds its buttons mid-fight, which is what usually causes "blocked by an AddOn" messages. If you do see one,
/hunt diagsays what happened.
Testers: play a session on your Hunter, log out to the character screen, and send the file WTF/Account/<your account>/SavedVariables/Huntwell.lua. That file decides what goes into 0.2.
