Hunters Handbook RP

The FUN version of Hunters Handbook. 

Hunter’s Handbook: Roleplay Edition is a Classic Era Hunter addon built around one simple idea:

Your hunter should learn about the world by hunting, not by opening a database that already knows everything.

Unlike the standard Hunter’s Handbook, the Roleplay Edition begins with an essentially empty Bestiary. Beast information is revealed naturally as your character encounters and studies wildlife.

Knowledge is gained in only two ways:

• Using Beast Lore

• Successfully taming a beast

As you explore Azeroth, the Handbook gradually becomes your character’s personal field journal. Beast families, locations, abilities, and other useful information are discovered through actual gameplay rather than being handed to you from the start.

A Handbook You Build Yourself

When you first install the addon, you are not given a complete list of every tameable beast in Classic.

Instead, your Bestiary grows as you travel.

Use Beast Lore on an unfamiliar creature and the Handbook records what your hunter learns. Tame a beast and additional information can become available through that experience.

Over time, the Handbook becomes a record of your own adventures rather than a reference guide someone else filled out for you.

Discover Pet Abilities Naturally

Pet training information follows the same philosophy.

The addon does not reveal every beast that can teach every ability rank ahead of time.

When you discover a beast or tame one that knows a useful ability, that knowledge becomes part of your Handbook.

This makes searching for new pet abilities feel much closer to actual hunter exploration.

Personal Bestiary

Your discoveries are saved between sessions.

The Bestiary can gradually record information such as:

• Beast name

• Family

• Level

• Location

• Attack speed

• Known abilities

• Tame discoveries

• Multiple discovered locations

The goal is not to replace exploration.

The goal is to remember what your hunter has actually learned.

Hunter Services

Hunter’s Handbook also includes useful Hunter-oriented service information and navigation tools.

You can locate relevant Hunter services and discovered locations directly from the addon.

TomTom Integration

TomTom is required for waypoint functionality.

Hunter’s Handbook uses TomTom for:

• World map waypoints

• Minimap waypoints

• Directional arrows

• Bestiary location navigation

• Hunter service navigation

• Pet ability source navigation

TomTom is widely used in Classic and provides a much more reliable navigation system than the limited native Classic waypoint support.

Designed for Classic Era

This edition is built specifically for World of Warcraft Classic Era.

Its pet families, abilities, terminology, and mechanics are based on the original Classic Hunter pet system rather than Retail or later expansions.

Roleplay First

Hunter’s Handbook: Roleplay Edition is intentionally different from addons that provide a complete searchable pet database on day one.

If you want every spawn location and every pet ability immediately available, the standard Hunter’s Handbook is the better choice.

If you want your Hunter to travel, investigate, tame beasts, and slowly build their own knowledge of Azeroth’s wildlife, this edition is for you.
