ClickBindTips-1.1.zip
What's new
First public release. Renamed from ClickBindTips; your settings carry over.
- New name: HoverBinds (was ClickBindTips). Your settings carry over, and
/cbtstill works;/hoverbindsdoes the same. - Works with Blizzard's built-in click casting: it reads the bindings you've already set in Click Cast Bindings, automatically. Nothing to map again: install it and it works.
- New bindings panel: a small window that lists what each click does while your mouse is over a raid, party, player or target frame. It fades away a moment after you leave the frame.
- Holding Shift, Ctrl or Alt switches the list to those bindings, and the title names the key you're holding. A light grey line at the bottom (a little larger, with a shadow, so it stays readable when the panel is small) says which other modifier keys have bindings.
- Shows up next to the frame you hover (like HealBot): the panel appears just right of the raid, party, player or target frame under your mouse. While you edit bindings in Blizzard's Click Cast Bindings window, it sits right of the spellbook (or macro window) that opens beside it and shows each change as soon as you press Save there. On by default; untick it (settings, the edit toolbar, or
/cbt follow) to keep the panel at the spot you drag it to. - Edit mode: the Edit panel button at the top of the settings (or left-click the minimap button, or
/cbt move) outlines the panel in Edit Mode blue and opens a small toolbar above it (below it near the top of the screen), so the panel itself shows its real size. Drag the panel or the toolbar to move them, drag the panel's corner to make it bigger or smaller, and set its opacity in the toolbar. A Click Cast Bindings button opens Blizzard's own bindings window, so changing a binding is one click away (you save it there as usual). Save keeps the changes, Cancel undoes them, Reset goes back to the starting spot and size. It also joins Blizzard's own Edit Mode (Esc > Edit Mode) and saves when you leave it./cbt resetputs it back at the starting spot. - Panel size (50-200%) and background opacity are also in the settings, and it can stay on screen all the time if you prefer (
/cbt always). No border around the panel: at 0% opacity only the text shows. - The panel never blocks clicks: your raid frames under it still get every click.
- Minimap button (and an entry in the minimap's addon menu): left-click opens the edit view (move, size, opacity, Click Cast Bindings), right-click opens all settings, drag it around the map.
/cbt minimapor the settings turn the button off. - New settings page: Esc > Options > AddOns > HoverBinds (or
/cbt options). One dropdown says when the panel shows (while hovering a frame, always, or off); Edit panel comes first; each setting sits under the thing it changes. - The old tooltip lines are still there (
/cbt tooltip), now off by default since the panel shows the same list. If you had switched 1.0 off, the panel starts off too. - Quiet chat: at login HoverBinds only speaks up if you haven't set up any click bindings yet. A welcome line with the version and commands can be turned on in the settings (General).
/cbton its own now turns the panel on/off;/cbt helplists every command.
