HouseMinimap

A minimap addon for World of Warcraft player housing interiors. Since the default minimap doesn't work inside houses, this addon provides a clean, circular minimap that tracks your position and explored areas. Because there is no minimap generation by default, the addon works by generating visuals based on where you walk in the home. Once your home is mapped, you will have a basic layout of the home visible in the HouseMinimap window. Your map data is collected and shared by party & raid members aswell. 

Features

**Circular Minimap** - Clean, WoW-styled circular map that appears when you enter a house
**Fog of War** - Explored areas are revealed as you walk around, persisted per-house
**Party/Raid Tracking** - See the positions of party and raid members inside the house (colored by class)
**Rotation Modes** - Choose between north-locked (arrow rotates) or rotating map (arrow always up)
**Zoom** - Scroll wheel to zoom in/out (20-100 yard range)
**Pan** - Right-click drag to look around the map; resets when you move
**Fog Sync** - Shares explored fog of war data with party/raid members in the same house
**Auto-Expanding Bounds** - Map bounds automatically expand as you explore new areas
**Minimap Button** - Draggable button on your minimap to toggle the house map

Slash Commands

`/hm show`  Show the house minimap 
`/hm hide` Hide the house minimap 
`/hm toggle` Toggle the house minimap visibility 
`/hm lock` Lock the minimap frame position 
`/hm unlock` Unlock the minimap frame (allows dragging) 
`/hm rotate` Toggle between north-locked and rotating map modes 
`/hm reset` Reset the map bounds for the current house 
`/hm clearfog` Clear all explored fog of war data for the current house 
`/hm sync` Manually sync fog of war data with party/raid members 
`/hm options` Open the addon settings panel 

You can also use `/houseminimap` instead of `/hm`.

Controls

**Left-click drag** - Move the minimap frame (when unlocked)
**Right-click drag** - Pan around the map to look at different areas
**Scroll wheel** - Zoom in/out
**Minimap button left-click** - Toggle the house minimap
**Minimap button right-click** - Toggle rotation mode

Settings

Access settings via `/hm options` or through the Options > Addons menu:

**Map Size** - Adjust the size of the minimap frame (100-300 pixels)

How It Works

The addon uses the Housing API to detect when you enter or exit a player house. Once inside, it tracks your position and renders a circular minimap centered on your character.

Each house has its own saved data:
**Bounds** - The explored area of the house (auto-expands as you move)
**Fog Data** - Which cells you've explored (revealed areas on the map)

When in a party or raid, the addon communicates explored fog data between players so everyone benefits from shared exploration.

Installation

1. Download and extract to your `World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/` folder
2. Ensure the folder is named `HouseMinimap`
3. Restart WoW or type `/reload`

Requirements

- World of Warcraft: Midnight
- The addon only activates when inside a player house
