Description
Holiday Herald
Never miss a holiday again! Holiday Herald reads the in-game calendar and tells you what's happening now and in the next week: what you can still collect, where to go, and a few secrets most players never find.
Built after missing Pirates' Day (and the Jolly Roger toy) five days after hitting exalted. Never again!
Features
- Now with ItemWatch support! If a holiday asks you to buy something, like the profession quest supplies at the Darkmoon Faire or the flour and milk for Day of the Dead, you can send it straight to ItemWatch: Ctrl-click the shopping line on the holiday card to add the whole list in one go, with the amounts added on top of any goals you've already set! Grab ItemWatch from CurseForge to get this feature!!
- Themed holiday cards. Each holiday gets its own colors, title style, and icon.
- Collection tracking. Mounts, toys, pets, transmog, and achievements are checked against your collection. Collected items gray out, so you only see what you're missing. A great way to round out your holiday collections!
- Holiday boss info. See every drop at a glance, plus whether your account's best daily roll is still available and whether this character has done the boss today. Click the boss line to bring up the LFG window (you still have to click the drop down and select the holiday dungeon!)
- Clickable achievements. Click any achievement line to open it, or shift-click to link it in chat. Great for showing off or comparing progress with friends! Meta lines jump straight to the holiday's part of What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been (Violet Proto-Drake).
- Smart shopping lists. Holidays that need you to bring something list it for you, and profession quests only show what your professions need.
- Tips for new and returning players. Hover for where to go, what to do, and which expansion a zone belongs to. Got TomTom? Use its /way command with any coordinates for an arrow.
- Secrets! Spoiler teasers that only reveal when you hover. Hidden pets, sneaky toys, and more.
- Class goodies. Lines like "Hunters: tame the Pink Elekk!" are shown to everyone, so you won't miss something for your alts.
- Short-holiday alerts. One-day holidays get a loud on-screen alert, so they can't slip by.
- Stays quiet. A full popup the first time each character sees a holiday, then just a chat line after that.
- Micro-holidays. Little holidays like The Great Gnomeregan Run get a chat line on the day and their own card.
- Weekly events. PvP Brawls, bonus events, and Timewalking (with its expansion) listed in their own section.
- Trading Post reminder. See your Trader's Tender at a glance, get a heads-up when new items arrive on the 1st, and click to open the Traveler's Log.
- Celebration toast. Finish a holiday's meta and the NerdyBertie herald gives you a thumbs-up. (I call her Matilda)
- Achievement toasts. Every achievement you earn gets a little cheer from a very dapper herald.
- Tidy layout. With three or more holidays at once, the popup switches to two columns.

Settings
Find them under Options → AddOns → NerdyBertie → Holiday Herald. Quick presets (All on, Visuals only, Quiet), plus toggles for every piece: themes, tips, secrets, alerts, sounds, achievement toasts, the Trading Post reminder, and more. There's also a button to reset the popup's position.
The AddOns and Options menus now group my addons together, so you can find them all under the NerdyBertie heading (minus plugins that depend on other addons, like Dive Bar Front Crawl for the Tortollan housing endeavor).
