HealPilot 1.1.0
Restart the game after updating. A /reload isn't enough this time, because the settings menu has a new picture and there are new files.
WoW Forever
- One Download for Both Games: HealPilot now runs on WoW Forever as well as on retail. It is the same download, and each game gets the parts that fit it.
- Classic's Healers: Priests, Druids, Paladins and Shamans get their own heals in the spots on a frame: Renew, Power Word: Shield and Prayer of Mending; Rejuvenation, Regrowth and Wild Growth; Riptide. Every rank of a spell counts.
- Weakened Soul: A priest sees Weakened Soul beside the shield, so you know who can't be shielded yet, whoever cast it.
- Dispels: Each class's own dispels, with the Paladin's Cleanse and Purify, the Druid's Remove Curse and Abolish Poison, and the rest.
- Cooldown Bar: It starts with Classic's big spells, like Inner Focus, Nature's Swiftness, Lay on Hands, Mana Tide Totem and Tranquility. Your mana and its pace stay on the bar, since in Classic they matter most.
- Click Casting: The starter set fills in Classic heals and your dispel, and Alt with a left click brings a dead player back with your class's spell, Revive included for Druids.
- Range: A player fades when your own heal can't reach them, checked with a heal every character of your class has.
- Raids of Forty: The raid frames take all eight groups, and edit mode can show a raid of forty.
- Who Heals: Forever has no specialisations, so HealPilot goes by the role you take in the group. With no role taken, a Priest, Druid, Paladin or Shaman counts as a healer.
- Power Infusion: A Discipline priest keeps the Power Infusion helper, timed to Classic's damage cooldowns such as Arcane Power, Recklessness and Adrenaline Rush.
- Boss Timers: With BigWigs or DBM they work as on retail. Without one there are none, because the game's own boss timeline isn't in Forever.
- Left Out: Mythic+, retail's externals, Bloodlust, shared battle resurrections and the Resurrect everyone button aren't part of Forever, so their settings aren't there either.
Settings
- Start Here: The settings now open on a new first page with the few things most people change, in plain words: frame sizes, bar colour, spoken warnings, hiding the game's own frames, trying it all on pretend players, and a walk through the basics.
- When Something Looks Wrong: The same page puts the frames back where they started, puts every setting back as it came (after a second click), or copies a short report to send with a problem.
- Plainer Words: A few bits of jargon in the help are gone, and the menu sits a little closer together so every page fits the window.
The Frames
- Tank Frames: In a raid the tanks get frames of their own as well, in a block you can move and size in edit mode: whoever took the tank role and anyone the raid leader made main tank, up to four. Changes in a fight wait until it ends. Settings are on the new Tanks tab of Size and layout.
- Raid Groups by Role: Inside each raid group the frames can now stand by role too: the tank first, then healers, then everyone else, like the party frames.
- Summons: A mark in the middle of the frame while a summon is on its way to that player, and whether they took it or turned it down.
- AFK and Phased: A short grey word after the name for a player who is AFK, or Phased for someone in another phase, War Mode or Chromie Time, whom you can see but not heal.
- Range of Your Own Heal: A player now fades when your heal can't reach them, not at the game's own distance, which is a few yards longer (for an Evoker, more than ten). A dead player fades when your resurrect can't reach their body, not their ghost.
- Resurrect Everyone: After a wipe, while two or more of the group are dead, a button shows beside your frames that casts your mass resurrect. It goes away once they're up. The switch is on the Cooldowns tab of Mana and cooldowns.
You
- Warn Me When I Am Low: In a fight the edges of your screen glow red while your own health is low, because watching everyone else's bars makes it easy to forget your own. Set how low on the new You tab of the Call-outs page.
Your External
- Named Before a Tank Hit: When the boss timers call a hit on the tank and your external is ready, the big call-out line names it in amber, the way it names a planned cooldown.
- Called When It Matters: While your external is ready, a tank hit is called even if you have tank hits switched off, because there is something to press. A new switch on the Externals page turns this off.
- The Tank Pulses: In the seconds before a tank hit the tank's outline pulses, so it stands apart from the steady outline on someone who is low.
- Edit Mode: The example fight shows your own spec's external. A spec without one, like Restoration Shaman, sees none of it.
Click Casting
- A Starter Set: One button on the Click casting page fills in the bindings most healers of your specialisation start with: the middle button dispels, Shift and Ctrl with the left and right buttons cast your usual heals and your external, and Alt with left resurrects. Spells you don't know are left out.
- Bindings in the Tooltip: Point at a frame and its tooltip lists what each of your clicks and keys does there. A switch turns it off once you know them.
Boss Timers
- The Phase by the Clock: With BigWigs or DBM, the label beside the fight clock says which phase the boss is in, or Transition between two, so you know why the timers just moved.
- DBM Too: HealPilot now reads DBM's boss timers as it does BigWigs's: what each ability is, the boss's phase, and the names your plan ties cooldowns to. A DBM timer and the game's own timer for the same ability show as one.
- Heavy Damage Shaded: Where two or more damage abilities land within six seconds of each other, the timer bar is shaded red across that stretch, so you see a rough patch coming. A switch on the Boss timers page turns it off.
The Brief
- Plan It for Me: One click puts your big healing cooldowns on the boss's heaviest moments from your longest pull so far: deadly hits first, then hits that land close together, each spell no sooner than it comes back. Your external goes on the tank hits. Move or take off any of them on the line as before.
- Try It First: It works on the example boss too, so you can see what it does before a raid. A plan you already have is only replaced on a second click.
- Learn From the Last Wipe: After a wipe the brief says who died first, when, and to what, read from the game's own damage meter and death recap, with a red mark on the line for each death. Plan it for me then puts your external on that moment for the next pull. A kill clears it.
Bug Fixes
- Raids:
- When a raid forms or players move groups, the game sends the change many times in a row. The frames are now painted once for the whole burst instead of once per change, which is easier on your frame rate.
- Dispels:
- Your dispel is now also found through the spellbook, so the bright and faint dispel highlight keeps working on game versions where the old way of asking is gone.
