Headhunter-1.1.0_1.zip
What's new
Changelog
[1.1.0] - 2026-10-02
Changed
- One addon for Retail and WoW: Forever: the same folder loads on both clients, and Headhunter detects which one it is running on.
- Added Retail patch 12.1.5 (interface 120105) to the supported versions, so the addon won't show as out of date after the patch.
/hh diagshows which client was detected (Retail or Forever).
Fixed
- The level of a player killed outside your view is read from the game on Retail 12.1.5 and later.
- Test kills use only the classes and level cap of the client you play on.
[1.0.0] - 2026-09-26
First public release.
Headhunter
- Claim the head of every enemy player you land the killing blow on in PvP.
- The first time you kill a player, their head waits in the main window. Hover it and it trembles; click it to take it to the Blood Altar, your trophy collection.
- A new head costs ritual blood (new honor earned with the addon installed): 50 for the first one, +20 % for each offering after it.
- Players already on the Blood Altar need no offering: every new kill goes straight to their trophy.
Rarity by kills
- A trophy's rarity grows with the times you killed that player: Common (1), Uncommon (3), Rare (10), Epic (50), Legendary (100) and Chrome (150).
- Chrome trophies shimmer; Legendary and Chrome ones play the legendary sound.
Trophies
- Each card shows the player's class, level, kills, progress to the next rarity, where you last killed them and your killing blow.
- Hover a card to see its kill log: date, time, zone, subzone, map position and killing blow of every kill (the last 12 shown, 200 kept per player).
Killing blow detection
- Reads your kills from the combat log ("<you> killed <player>."), in any client language, including kills by your pet.
- Captures the killing blow: spell, damage school, amount and overkill. When the combat log isn't available, it uses your last cast and the victim's last hit.
- In battlegrounds the scoreboard confirms killing blows too; in the open world, an honorable kill on your recent target (or while playing solo) also counts.
Interface
- Ritual blood bar with a living blood animation: heartbeat pulse, light wave and falling drops.
- Offering effect: sound, rising skull and the trophy card appearing on the altar.
- Minimap button and addon icon.
Compatibility and languages
- Retail (Midnight 12.x) and WoW: Forever (1.60.x).
- Automatic language from the game client: English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese and Portuguese.
- Dates follow the client language (month/day for English and Chinese, day/month for Spanish and Portuguese).
Changed since the test builds
- Packs were removed and replaced by the Blood Altar.
- Rarity is no longer random: it comes from the number of kills.
- Cards no longer have cost, attack, health or abilities.
- Existing test data is migrated automatically.
Test builds
[0.4.0-test] - 2026-09-26
Changed
- No more packs. The first time you kill a player, their head waits in the main window.
- Taking a new head to the Blood Altar (the trophy collection, renamed) costs ritual blood (new honor): 50, +20 % for each offering.
- Players already on the Blood Altar don't need offerings: every new kill goes straight to their trophy and raises its rarity.
Added
- Heads tremble when you hover them; clicking one with enough blood offers it with a sound and a rising skull effect, and its trophy card appears.
- Ritual blood bar: a red, living bar with a heartbeat pulse, a light wave and falling drops.
[0.3.0-test] - 2026-09-26
Changed
- A head's rarity now grows with the times you kill that player: Common (1), Uncommon (3), Rare (10), Epic (50), Legendary (100) and the new Chrome rarity (150), which shimmers.
- Cards no longer have cost, attack, health or abilities. They show kills, progress to the next rarity, where you last killed the player and with what.
- The collection holds one card per player. A chat notice tells you when a head you already own goes up in rarity; opened packs mark cards as NEW or UP.
- Opening a pack costs 50 new honor, +20 % for each pack opened after it (50, 60, 72, 86...).
Added
- Kill log per player: hover a card to see date, time, zone, subzone, map position and killing blow of each kill.
- Killing blow capture: spell, damage school, amount and overkill, read from the combat log; when the log isn't available, your last cast and the victim's last hit are used.
/hh test kill [n] [name]to test rarity with repeated kills of the same player.
Notes
- Existing trophies are migrated to one card per player, with the rarity their kill count gives. The pack cost starts again at 50.
[0.2.1-test] - 2026-09-26
Fixed
- Kills on the player you had targeted were counted only as "participation" when the death was first seen on a nameplate. The addon now remembers your recent targets (15 s).
- Playing solo in the open world, an honorable kill on a player you saw die now counts as your killing blow.
Changed
- The combat log reader now listens to every chat frame, wherever the combat log tab is.
/hh diagshows how many combat log lines arrived and the last lines that mention you.
[0.2.0-test] - 2026-09-26
Added
- Killing blows are now read from the combat log chat tab ("<you> killed <player>."), in any client language. Kills by your pet count too.
- WoW: Forever support (interface 16001,
Headhunter_Camelot.toc). - Automatic language: English, Spanish, Chinese and Portuguese, picked from your game client.
- New addon icon on the minimap button and in the addon list.
- English commands (
/hh open,/hh collection,/hh mode kb|all,/hh minimap,/hh reset confirm); the Spanish ones still work. /hh diagnow shows whether the combat log reader is active and how many kill lines it read.
Changed
- A kill first counted as "probable" is upgraded to a confirmed killing blow when the combat log confirms it.
- In battlegrounds, kills already read from the combat log are not counted a second time when the scoreboard updates.
- Class names on cards come from the game client, in your language.
Fixed
- Enemy players were never detected once dead: a corpse is not attackable, so every death was discarded. Deaths of enemy players you can see are recorded again.
- Honor fallback for clients without the Retail honor currency.
[0.1.1-test] - 2026-09-25
Added
- First test build: Headhunter packs of 5 heads, opened with 100 new honor; trophy collection; minimap button.
