Headhunter
Every enemy you kill leaves a head. Offer it at the Blood Altar and watch your trophies grow.
Headhunter turns your PvP kills into a collection. Land the killing blow on an enemy player and you claim their head. Take it to the Blood Altar and it becomes a trophy that grows rarer every time you kill that same player again.
How it works
- Kill. Land the killing blow on an enemy player, in the open world, a battleground or an arena.
- Claim. The first time you kill someone, their skull appears in the Headhunter window. Hover it and it trembles in your hands.
- Offer. Click the skull to take it to the Blood Altar. Each new head costs ritual blood, the honor you earn with the addon installed: 50 for the first one, 20% more for every offering after it.
- Hunt again. Once a player is on your altar, every new kill goes straight to their trophy. No more offerings needed.
Rarity grows with every kill
| Rarity | Kills of the same player |
|---|---|
| Common | 1 |
| Uncommon | 3 |
| Rare | 10 |
| Epic | 50 |
| Legendary | 100 |
| Chrome | 150 |
Chrome trophies shimmer. Reaching Legendary or Chrome plays the legendary sound.
Trophies that tell the story
Every trophy card shows the player's class, level, how many times you killed them, progress to the next rarity, where you last took them down and the spell that finished them.
Hover a trophy to read its kill log: date, time, zone, subzone, map position and killing blow (spell, damage school, damage and overkill) of every kill.

FAQ
Which game versions are supported? World of Warcraft Retail (Midnight 12.x) and WoW: Forever.
Does it count kills my group got? By default only your killing blows count, including your pet's. Use /hh mode all to count every honorable kill you took part in.
Why is a kill marked "probable"? Addons can no longer read combat events directly. Headhunter reads the combat log tab, the battleground scoreboard and honorable kills. When the combat log line isn't available, a kill on your recent target (or while playing solo) counts as probable.
My kills aren't counted. What can I check? Keep the Combat Log chat tab enabled. Type /hh diag after a kill to see what the addon received.
What is ritual blood? The honor you earn while Headhunter is installed. Honor you had before installing it doesn't count.
Is my progress shared between characters? No, each character has their own Blood Altar.
Installation
Extract the Headhunter folder into World of Warcraft\_retail_\Interface\AddOns\ (Retail) or the Interface\AddOns\ folder of your WoW: Forever client, then restart the game.
