Description
Bestiary Arena
Put your Bestiary TCG cards to battle.
Bestiary Arena is the companion addon for Bestiary TCG. Every creature card you caught becomes a fighter: build decks, duel your friends, push through the co-op Horde with your group, level up a hero for each class, train your cards at the Ranch and take on seasonal events like Hallow's End.
Battles are automatic, in the style of an auto-battler. You choose who fights, the order and the deck, then watch the fight play out round by round.
Requires Bestiary TCG (1.7.1 or newer recommended). For World of Warcraft Retail (Midnight) and World of Warcraft: Forever. One download works in both.
Features
Your cards, ready to fight
- Every card keeps its Bestiary TCG numbers: mana cost, attack, health, race, faction and ability. Boss cards bring their two-ability Boss Power.
- The creature's race sets how it fights: melee, ranged or magic, plus its speed and armor. Epic and Legendary cards are faster, and Legendaries are tougher.
- 5 factions: Wild, Elemental, Shadow, Forge and Neutral. Each class plays its own faction plus Neutral.
- Dozens of abilities: Sneak, Snipe, Taunt, Thorns, Leech, Rise, Fly, Blast, Poison, Enrage, Execute, Double Attack and more. The Glossary tab explains every one.

Heroes for every class
- Pick one of the 13 classes (the 9 Vanilla classes in Forever). Each one has its own role, attack type, stats and class ability.
- Heroes level up to 20. Every level gives an upgrade point (Strength, Stamina, Agility, Temper).
- Powers unlock at levels 2, 5, 10 and 15, and you choose which ones to equip.
- Every class keeps its own level and progress, so you can switch at any time.

Duels
- Challenge anyone in your group to a 1v1 duel: your hero plus up to 5 cards against theirs.
- Pick your class at the start of each duel, then build your lineup from your deck.
- Random rules every match:
- a mana cap from 10 to 30;
- debuffs, such as Only Commons, No Legendaries, No Magic, Only Beasts, Lava Floor, Earthquake, Armored and more.
- 4 match types: 1, 2 or 3 debuffs, or WILD with 1 to 5.
- Lineups are sealed before they are revealed, so nobody sees the other side's team early.
- Practice against a bot built from your own collection. It doesn't tire your cards.
- Wins give your cards and your hero experience.

Deck building
- A collection book in the style of Hearthstone, with cards shown sideways in the deck list.
- Filters that combine:
- mana cost (1 to 10+), race, "My class", bosses only;
- hide cards without an ability, hide cards of unknown race;
- search by name or ability (for example "snipe").
- Save up to 9 decks of 10 cards per class, with one Boss per deck.
The Horde
- A co-op mode for you and your group, on a 12-tile board around your hero's class.
- Waves grow tile by tile: they are made from the cards of everyone in the group, and bosses wait on tiles 5 and 10.
- Blessings (green) make your heroes stronger, for example Fury, Vigor, Vampire, Executioner or Twin Blades.
- Afflictions (red) make the horde nastier but raise your rewards, for example Tyrant, Necrosis, Explosions or Siege.
- Leave or Stay: at tiles 5, 10 and 12 the group decides whether to cash in or keep fighting. If the group falls, you still keep what you had banked at the last exit point.
- Every new lap makes the horde 20% stronger, with 6 to 12 creatures per wave.
- The group votes on every choice and the leader decides. Everyone sees the same battle.
- Earn hero experience and Horde points.

The Ranch
- Spend Horde points to train your cards' Strength, Stamina or Agility.
- Cards gain levels from battles, up to a cap set by their rarity.
- Cards get tired from duels and recover over time. You can also let them rest.
Seasonal events
- The Events tab follows the in-game holidays, with a countdown to each one.
- Hallow's End (Oct 18 - Nov 1):
- Your hero and the deck of your choice face the Headless Horseman while Pumpkin Fiends keep spawning in front of him.
- Every fight rolls random mana for your cards (10 to 50), with no debuffs.
- The Wicker Men: turn on up to four curses (Ember Curse, Cursed Flaming Head, Shadowy Curse, Thorny Surprise) for a much tougher Horseman.
- Loot:
- Pumpkin Fiend cards with a random race; the more fiends you kill, the better your chance.
- A rare chance at the Headless Horseman card; defeating him under all four curses guarantees one.
- Event cards go straight into your Bestiary TCG collection, with a seasonal orange-gold frame and the Hallow's End seal.
- Timeless Rifts (always open, new boss every week):
- A rift through time leads to a different figure of Warcraft every week, 43 in rotation: The Lich King, Thrall, Sylvanas, Khadgar, Chromie, Uther, Velen, Medivh, Arthas, Alexstrasza, Ysera, Malfurion, Millhouse Manastorm, Lord Jaraxxus, the Titans of the Pantheon, Sargeras and more. The panel shows the next two.
- Three difficulties (Normal, Heroic, Mythic) with unlimited tries; a difficulty locks for the week (whole account) once you beat it.
- Win the boss card with a guaranteed rarity (Common, Rare or Epic or better) and hero experience: 100 on Normal, 200 on Heroic, 400 on Mythic.
- More events are coming: Feast of Winter Veil, Love is in the Air, Midsummer Fire Festival and Brewfest.

Battle view
- Watch every fight round by round, with play, pause, step, speed (x1, x2, x4) and skip.
- Effects: units lunge when they attack, shake and flash when hit, and leave a fading skull when they fall.
- A full battle log and tooltips on every unit.

Good to know
- Duels and hordes need Bestiary Arena on every player, in the same party or raid. Start them out of combat: addon messages are blocked in combat inside instances.
- Your cards come from Bestiary TCG, which shares them across your account. Hero progress, decks and the Ranch are saved per character.
- Retail and Forever keep separate data.
- Saved data can be edited by hand, so Bestiary Arena is made for playing with friends, not for ranked play.
