Hawker
Tired of typing the same advert over and over? Hawker keeps a list of your lines and says a random one each time you press your macro. It never says the same line twice in a row, so your trade-chat pitch stays fresh.
Perfect for enchanters, portal mages, lockpickers, or anyone selling a service in town.
How to use
Add your lines once. They're saved across reloads and shared by every character on your account.
/hawk add free bracer enchant to make your mount stop judging you
/hawk add free bracer enchant. side effects include sparkly wrists and mild smugness
Then make a macro with a single line:
/hawk
Each press says one random line in /say.
Channels
Add a channel to send somewhere else:
| Command | Sends to |
|---|---|
| /hawk | Say |
| /hawk yell (or y) | Yell |
| /hawk emote (or e) | Emote |
| /hawk guild (or g) | Guild |
| /hawk officer (or o) | Officer |
| /hawk party (or p) | Party |
| /hawk raid (or ra) | Raid |
| /hawk 2 | Numbered channel 2 (Trade in cities) |
Make one macro per channel, such as /hawk for town and /hawk 2 for Trade.
Managing your lines
/hawk list show your lines with their numbers
/hawk remove 3 remove line 3
/hawk clear remove all lines
/hawk help show all commands
Notes
- One message per key press. Hawker never sends anything on its own, which keeps it within Blizzard's rules for public chat.
- Lines can be up to 255 characters, the game's chat limit.
- From a script, /run Hawk() works too, and Hawk("guild") or Hawk(2) picks a channel.
Built for WoW Classic Era.
