v2.1.1
What's new
# Changelog
## 2.1.1
- Fixed a "blocked from an action" popup some players saw when logging out
on WoW Forever.
## 2.1.0
- Keyboard navigation in the options panel. Ctrl+F searches. With the mouse
over the panel, Up and Down move between settings, Left and Right change a
value (Shift for big steps), Enter or Space presses it, Tab switches tabs,
Ctrl+Up and Ctrl+Down switch pages, and Esc backs out and then closes it.
The keys are listed on the Home page.
- Tooltips on the page icons and header buttons, and on the Game page
settings, which now show the exact console variable name and its default.
- New Blizzard Modern frame layout (player and target above the action bars),
matching Blizzard's own default on both Retail and WoW Forever. New
profiles start on it. The top left layout is still there as "Blizzard
classic layout", and profiles you already have keep their current layout
and positions.
## 2.0.1
- Packaging fix: removed a stray file from the download. No changes to the addon itself.
## 2.0.0
A new options window, built from scratch.
- Brand new options panel, drawn entirely in SVG. Open it with /hui. It docks
to the right edge by default, can dock left or float, and you can drag
either edge to make it wider or narrower.
- Settings are grouped by what they do: Units, Cast Bars, Group, Skin, Style,
Extras, Game and Profiles.
- Search box at the top, like the WoW options. Results can be edited right in
the list, and a Go to button jumps to the setting and highlights it.
- Accent color follows your class.
- Frames now default to where Blizzard puts its own (player and target at the
top left, and so on). If you already had HatedUI set up, your positions stay
exactly as they were. Profiles has a one click "Blizzard default layout"
button, and one to go back to the old layout.
- New Game page with about 100 game settings that normally need a console
command: camera zoom, follow style and speed, mouse, click to move, combat
text, names and nameplates, sound, frame rate, quests, tooltips, skyriding
comfort and more. There is also a box to read or set any other console
variable. Settings that Blizzard locks against addons are not offered.
- New optional stealth banner (Extras): a slide in banner while you are
stealthed, or a short flash when you enter and leave stealth.
- While the options window is open the frames show sample content so you can
place and style them. Cast bars stay visible after a cast finishes, so they
can still be dragged.
- The previous options window has been removed, which also makes the
addon a good deal smaller. Options > AddOns > Hated UI still has a button
that opens the new panel.
## 1.0.18
- Fixed combo points (and other class resource pips) not lighting up on the
Player frame in WoW Forever, where the game hides your current points
from addons. The pips now fill correctly there, and refresh when you
change target. Retail looks and behaves the same.
## 1.0.17
- Fixed an error on WoW Forever from the player totem display. The totem
relocation is now Retail only; on WoW Forever Blizzard's own totem frame
is left alone.
## 1.0.16
- Code clean up
## 1.0.15
- Now marked compatible with WoW Forever (beta client). No feature changes.
## 1.0.14
- The player cast bar now shows Evoker empowered casts (Fire Breath,
Eternity Surge, Dream Breath, Spiritbloom, Engulf) instead of nothing:
the bar fills upward and draws a divider at each rank threshold so you
can see where the ranks land. Icon, spell name and interrupt colour all
work as normal.
- Edit Mode preview shows a few of those dividers on the player cast bar
so it can be sized and positioned.
## 1.0.13
- Options now open in their own resizable window (still `/hatedui` or
`/hui`), reorganised into a collapsible tree -- General, Unit Frames,
Cast Bars, Party & Raid, Blizzard Skin, Extras -- with section headings
and a two-column layout so each page is shorter and easier to scan.
Blizzard's own AddOns settings list keeps a button that opens the window.
- Added a Shared Style page under Unit Frames: set the shape, colours,
texture, border and font once and every unit frame follows it. Any frame
can break away with its own "Use shared style" toggle, and frames you had
already customised differently are left alone.
- Renamed the "Water" health style to "Circle", and it is now part of
Shared Style so you can switch every frame between Classic and Circle at
once. The control is a clearer Classic / Circle radio button.
- Circle style now has its own Circle Size slider, separate from Classic's
Width and Height -- switching a frame between the two no longer drags a
size meant for one look onto the other. Existing Circle frames keep the
size they had.
- Show Portrait now works on Circle style too (it was always on before) --
turning it off drops the portrait and inner ring for a clean
water-filled circle.
## 1.0.12
- Added a "Health Style" option to Player/Target/Focus/Pet/Boss/ToT:
"Classic" (the original portrait+bar design, still the default -- no
visual change for existing users) or "Water", a new circular design with
a real chrome portrait ring (reusing Blizzard's own player-portrait ring
art) and health drawn as a vertical fill that drains from the top down as
you take damage
- Water style also adds a dedicated inner ring framing the portrait, a
separate health value/percent readout bar, and repositions/enlarges the
PvP faction icon onto the outer ring
- Fixed combo point/rune pips sitting low against the circle instead of
clearly above it when using Water style
## 1.0.11
- Fixed the mouseover tooltip not showing on any HatedUI unit frame
(Player/Target/Focus/Pet/Boss/ToT) -- these are fully independent frames
from scratch, so they never inherited Blizzard's tooltip hookup the way
its own frames do
## 1.0.10
- Added Boss Frames: a stack of up to 5 HatedUI-styled unit frames for boss
encounters, matching the same design as the other unit frames -- only the
first frame is draggable, the rest follow it automatically so the whole
stack moves together
- Added new indicators to Player/Target/Focus/Pet/Boss/ToT frames:
classification border (rare/elite/rare elite/boss), raid target icon,
combat icon, PvP faction icon, party/raid leader crown, and ready check
icon
- Health and power bars finally show real percentage text (was blank on
every frame since this addon's independent-frame rewrite)
- Added a Health Text / Power Text display option (Percent / Value / Both)
to Player/Target/Focus/Pet/Boss/ToT, matching Blizzard's own nameplate
text style -- "Show Power Text" is also now actually exposed in Options
(it existed but had no control to turn it on)
- Fixed the PvP faction icon rendering oversized and overlapping the health
bar; resized and moved to the bottom-left of the portrait
## 1.0.9
- Added a Pet Frame: a new HatedUI-styled unit frame for your pet (health,
power, portrait, name, movable, right-click menu), matching the same
design as the Player/Target/Focus frames
- Fixed the Pet Frame not updating when a pet is summoned, dismissed, or
swapped
## 1.0.8
- Added a buff/debuff row to the Player frame, right-click cancelable like
Blizzard's own default player frame -- fixes Death Knight's Raise Dead
(and similar effects) showing nothing to dismiss
- Added a live totem display to the Player frame (reuses Blizzard's own
totem icons/cooldowns/tooltips) for Shaman totems and other totem-slot
effects like Raise Dead's ghoul, sized up so it stands out, with
right-click dismiss and no more freezing or erroring during combat
- Fixed the buff/debuff row stacking vertically instead of horizontally
when shown above the totem display
- Action bars now re-skin on entering the world and on entering combat, in
case a bar's buttons weren't fully ready at login (may help with
cooldowns/right-click occasionally not updating until a `/reload`)
## 1.0.7
- Fixed a crash on party/raid frames ("bad argument #1 to 'UnitInVehicle'")
introduced by 1.0.6's role icon fix
## 1.0.6
- Fixed role icons (tank/healer/DPS) not showing on party/raid frames --
reskinning the health bar was silently undoing Blizzard's own layering
that keeps the icon on top
- Added the same role icon to the Player and Target frames
## 1.0.5
- Fixed a crash on the target cast bar when a cast was interrupted/stopped
(a secret-value comparison introduced in 1.0.3's recast fix)
## 1.0.4
- Added the missing class resource pips to the Player frame: Holy Power,
Soul Shards, Arcane Charges, Chi, Essence, and Death Knight Runes (with
per-rune cooldown swipes), alongside the existing Combo Points
## 1.0.3
- Fixed cast bars not showing during combat, and fast back-to-back casts
(e.g. reapplying poison, reopening a lockbox) hiding the bar instead of
restarting it
- Added an Enabled toggle for Player/Target/Focus frames and their cast
bars that leaves Blizzard's own default frame untouched when turned off
(requires `/reload` to take effect)
- Fixed an error when toggling frame options while the Target frame was
disabled
## 1.0.2
- Added an AFK Screen feature: a cinematic full-screen overlay (branding
bars, character pose, honor level, clock) that shows automatically when
you go AFK. Enabled by default, toggle under the AFK Screen tab.
## 1.0.1
- Added buff/debuff auras to the Target frame
