What's new
14.0.0
New: Crate landing ETA
- A small readout under the tracker showing how long until the current zone's crate is on the ground. While the plane is still inbound it shows both parts ("Flying to drop in ~1:10", then "On the ground in ~2:00"); once the crate is under its parachute it shows just the time left; "On the ground" once it lands
- It learns each zone and each drop spot from the crates you see there -- it shows "Learning" until it has timed a few, then switches to real numbers. Drop times vary a lot by zone, some descents run well over two minutes, so early estimates are rough and tighten up with use
- Party or raid leaders can left-click the strip to announce the ETA to the group
- On by default -- turn it off with "Crate landing ETA" in the options
New: Drop-point sharing
- New "Data Sharing" section in the options: export your learned crate drop points as a text string to hand to another player, or paste one in from them
- Importing only adds points you don't already have. It never changes or removes the ones you learned yourself, and duplicates are ignored
Predicted drop location
- Better at working out which spot an inbound crate is heading for, using the zone's learned launch point rather than just the current heading
Timer bar
- Fixed the fill being scaled to a fixed 900 seconds instead of the zone's real respawn interval -- the bar now tracks the countdown accurately for the whole cycle instead of sitting empty for the first few minutes
Removed
- Removed the battleground queue-dodger reporting (the snitch) entirely
Under the hood
- Large internal reorganization of the addon's code and its sync layer -- no behaviour change is intended, please report anything that regressed
13.0.13
- The docked window's pull-tab arrow now throbs and throws a sonar ripple so it is easy to spot -- turn it off with "Pulse the dock arrow" under Window docking
- Added a "Dock arrow color" picker under Window docking -- default is the same yellow as before
13.0.12
- HGLog "Add" now replaces the tracker's existing timer for that zone instead of doing nothing -- when the shard changes you can swap to the new shard's timer without deleting the old one first
- A high missed-crate count no longer hides a timer from the tracker -- a freshly added HGLog entry shows up like any other, and the missed count is still shown on the row
- Added a shard search box to the HGLog window -- filter the multi-shard log by shard number
13.0.11
- Throttled predicted drop-location announces -- minor jitter in the guess no longer spams the raid repeatedly while a crate is still falling
13.0.10
- Crate drop/predicted-location announces now show the zone name instead of raw coordinates -- easier to sift through when several crates are dropping at once
13.0.9
- Fixed the Ground Marker toolbar (RdysDevTools) placing the wrong shape -- world markers use a different internal order than raid target icons, now corrected
13.0.8
- Added a clickable map-pin link to crate drop/predicted-location announces -- click it to set the waypoint yourself
- Reworked shard verification: tells you once per zone-visit whether you're on the tracked shard, and stays quiet unless it actually changes -- no more repeat warnings while farming, and no more false alarms from briefly stepping into a city like Silvermoon
- Added /hct as an alias for /rct
13.0.7
- Refreshed the login welcome popup with a new message and a movable, draggable window
13.0.6
- Fixed a rare "action blocked" error resizing the tracker window during combat (seen in Delves)
13.0.5
- Added optional TomTom Integration (off by default) — mirrors crate waypoints into TomTom for its own on-screen arrow, alongside the default minimap waypoint
13.0.4
- Added a Ground Marker toolbar to RdysDevTools (raid leaders: quick access to all 8 ground/world raid markers)
13.0.3
- Updated HGLog for migrating users
Hated Crate Tracker 2.0
The biggest rework in HatedCrateTracker's history — rebuilt from the ground up. Real Blizzard-style panel, self-learning drop prediction, and full localization.
What's New
A window that finally looks like it belongs
- Real Blizzard-style panel (portrait, border, the works) instead of a plain box
- Docks to any screen edge, slides in/out with one click
- Deterministic per-zone colors — the same zone is always the same color, every session
- Cleaner, properly-sized toolbar buttons
Smarter tracking
- HGLog integration: if you're the party/raid leader, the tracker now surfaces previous crate drops HGLog has logged for your current zone/shard that aren't already on your list — one click imports it straight into your tracker, so you get a timer even if you didn't personally catch it live
- Crates found already on the ground or already looted are now tracked too, not just ones caught mid-drop, with a "Tracked As" indicator showing how precise each timer actually is
- Self-learning drop-location prediction: the addon watches flight paths and works out where crates are landing on its own, zone by zone — no manual data entry required
- Expanded zone support, including Coiled Isle
Everyone else
- Full localization pass: German, French, Russian, and both Spanish locales brought up to full parity with English
- Fixed Cyrillic text rendering as boxes for players on Russian clients
Heads up
Old and new versions can't sync/alert with each other — get your whole raid/guild on 2.0 together. Upgrading your own install is seamless; your settings and data carry over fine either way.
