GuildWatch v0.2.9
What's new
Click a profession to see what someone can actually make, your own attunement list fits on one screen, and a guild bank balance can no longer be wiped to zero by somebody closing their bank window.
Added
Click a member's profession to browse their recipes. The five profession slots on the Roster tab were a dead zone: clicking one did nothing, and it also swallowed the row's own click, so you could not pan to that member or edit their note by aiming at a profession icon. A slot now opens that member's recipe list with three views. Known is what they can make, Unknown is what they cannot make yet, and All is both, with a count on each. Unknown is the list you want when deciding who to ask or what to send someone.
A bundled recipe skill table. The skill a recipe requires cannot be read in game at all. The game only tells the person scanning how hard a recipe is relative to their own skill, which changes as they level and means nothing to anyone else looking. GuildWatch now ships its own table of 2,302 recipes across 11 professions, generated from Blizzard's own game data for build 2.5.6, so recipe lists can sort by the skill each one needs. It covers 99.9% of what this guild actually holds. A recipe missing from it still appears, with no skill shown, rather than being hidden.
Collapse all, on your own attunement tab. Fifteen chains expand to about a hundred rows and closing them one at a time was the only way back. The button sits in the empty right end of the view chip row, so it costs no space, and it greys out when there is nothing left to collapse.
Changed
Heroic keys are called "Heroic keys" everywhere. The tree said "Heroic dungeon keys", the chip twenty pixels away said "Heroic keys", and the window subtitle said it in lower case. Three separate copies of one label drift apart the moment any one of them is edited.
Your own attunement list fits on one screen again. Fully collapsed, it used to run two rows past the bottom, so the last two heroic keys were only reachable by scrolling a list that looked complete.
The headline on your own attunement tab names the tab, not one raid. It read "Karazhan 0/8" whichever chain you were looking at, while the row directly underneath said the same thing and added the part the headline dropped.
Attunement matrix column headers line up. A one line column name sat a line above the two line ones, on a different baseline, so only the long names touched the rule beneath them.
Fixed
A guild bank balance is no longer overwritten with a zero the client never actually read. The guild bank stops answering questions the moment its window closes, and GuildWatch took one last reading afterwards and published it to the whole guild stamped with the current time, where it beat everyone's real figure. The News tab then reported the guild's entire balance leaving and coming back, with no gold having moved. A reading of zero has two meanings, "the server has not sent it yet" and "it cannot be read any more", and only the first was guarded. A zero now has to be corroborated before it is stored or sent. This fixes the client that sends. A guildmate running an older version can still publish one until they update.
Enchanting recipe lists showed recipes that do not exist, and one that appeared twice. Enchanting is the only profession whose recipes are all spells rather than items, including the ones that produce real objects such as runed rods. Reading both kinds listed each rod's recipe twice, once as a phantom that nobody could ever be missing. Separately, 59 of the 282 enchanting entries in the shipped table do not exist in this client at all and rendered as bare numbers. The client is now asked, and a recipe it does not recognise is dropped.
Recipe lists sort by the name you can actually see. Mining stores "Smelt Fel Iron" and draws "Fel Iron Bar", so the list was being ordered by text that was not on screen.
Internal
- Two new checks, both watched to fail against deliberately broken inputs before being trusted: one reads the recipe comparator out of the Lua and refuses a flipped sort direction, one generates the skill table from Blizzard's data.
