Description

Guild Compendium

Every guild needs a place to actually feel like a guild, not just a roster. Guild Compendium is a shared reference built by and for the people in it: real profiles, crafting search that saves you from asking in guild chat, alt linking that can't be quietly faked, and a bulletin board that finally replaces the guild MOTD Blizzard broke.

What's Inside

Bulletin Board. Officer and GM announcements, synced to every guildmate's client, the first thing you see when you open the addon.

Profiles. Bio, roles, and interests, so your guildies know who you actually are, not just your character name.

Alt Linking. A link has to be confirmed by the character being linked — they log in and accept it themselves. Officers can assign one for housekeeping, but it stays marked unconfirmed until that character agrees. Nobody gets quietly claimed as someone else's alt.

Crafting Search. Find who can make what you need in seconds, searchable across the whole guild and every alt.

Roster. Browse every profile at a glance, filter to mains only, search by name.

Looking For. Quick posts like "LF a tank for Mythic Plus," up to three at a time, auto-expiring after a week so the board never goes stale.

Birthdays. An opt-in panel showing whose birthday is coming up this week. No year is ever stored, so nobody's age is shown, and nothing is ever posted to guild chat on anyone's behalf.

Guild Info. Rules, schedule, and bank policy, editable by officers and kept in sync everywhere automatically.

Shoutouts. Recognize a guildmate who went above and beyond. No leaderboard, no ranking, just visible thanks.

Fun Stats. A live, celebratory snapshot of your guild. On purpose, there's no activity tracking here.

Minimap Alerts. The button pulses when there's something new — a bulletin post, a shoutout naming you, a Looking For post, or someone asking to link to your profile. Officers choose which of those count, and any member can turn alerts off entirely for themselves.

Built Different

Most guild addons exist so officers can manage members. Guild Compendium exists so members feel like they belong. There are no leaderboards anywhere in this addon, no way to rank one guildmate against another, and no feature that gives one person leverage over another. Officer chat is never read or logged.

If you want oversight and activity tracking, other excellent addons already do that well. This one does something else: it's for the feeling of being in a guild that actually knows you.

Getting Started

Install and log in. There's nothing to configure for regular members.

Guild Info and a couple of officer-only features need your actual Guild Leader to log in with the addon once before they activate guild-wide. Nothing breaks in the meantime — those features simply wait quietly until then.

Everything syncs over the guild addon channel. No server, no account, no external service. Members who don't have the addon still appear in the roster; they just have no profile data.
