Gibber Gabber
Speak the languages of Azeroth.
Gibber Gabber is a roleplay language addon for World of Warcraft: Midnight, with support for World of Warcraft: Forever planned following its release.
Built upon the original Tongues and Curse of Tongues addons, Gibber Gabber introduces a redesigned interface, an updated language system, and expanded communication features.
Choose from a wide variety of languages, customize your speech with dialects and effects, and communicate with other players using Gibber Gabber. Players speaking the same selected language can understand one another, regardless of race or faction, provided their addons can communicate.
Features
Languages of Azeroth: Choose from a large collection of racial, ancient, mystical, and creature languages. All are immediately available without learning or proficiency requirements.
Dialects and Speech Effects: Customize your character's dialogue. Each language has its own speech patterns, with additional variations provided by dialects and effects.
Quick Language Switching: Change languages using a movable on-screen button without opening the main addon window.
Cross-Faction and Cross-Realm Communication: Communicate with other Gibber Gabber users across factions and realms through supported addon communication methods. Automatic Speech Translation: Understand other Gibber Gabber users when you both have the same language selected.
Nearby Speech Relay: Exchange dialogue through supported addon channels, including situations where Blizzard's normal chat system cannot deliver readable speech.
Custom Emote Support: Apply language settings to custom emotes and configure which chat channels use translations.
Speech Bubble Translation: Display translated dialogue in overhead chat bubbles when the game allows an existing bubble to be identified and updated.
Blizzard-Native Interface: A redesigned interface using World of Warcraft's built-in artwork, customizable settings, and optional help tooltips.

The current addon contains 87 language data entries, including alternate names and an internal fallback. The list above covers the 86 named language and speech choices in v0.1.0.
Different languages produce different patterns of gibberish, while aliases may share the same word sets. Dialects and speech effects can further customize how your character speaks.
How Languages Work
Gibber Gabber simulates languages independently of World of Warcraft's native language system.
Both players must have Gibber Gabber installed and select the same language to understand each other's addon-translated speech.
For example, suppose you're playing a Human and select Darnassian in Gibber Gabber.
Speaking to a Night Elf without Gibber Gabber: The Night Elf will see your message as gibberish, even though Darnassian is their native language.
Speaking to a Night Elf using Gibber Gabber with Darnassian selected: Both players can understand each other through the addon.
Speaking to someone using Gibber Gabber with a different language selected: They will see your speech transformed into gibberish because their selected language does not match yours.
A Night Elf speaking native Darnassian without using Gibber Gabber's language system: Your Human character will not automatically understand them simply because you selected Darnassian in the addon.
When a player cannot understand your selected language, your dialogue appears with a language label followed by transformed text.
For example:
PhantomX says: [Darnassian] Alara shen'dorei falas.
Different languages have their own gibberish patterns, and dialects can alter those patterns even further.
Gibber Gabber does not teach your character Blizzard's native languages or change the language permissions assigned to your race. Translation relies on communication between compatible addon users.

Important Notes
Both players must have Gibber Gabber installed for addon-based translation.
Cross-faction and cross-realm communication requires a supported connection between players. Blizzard's restrictions may prevent communication in certain situations.
Overhead speech bubble translation depends on the game's available APIs and may not function in every situation.
Gibber Gabber does not override Blizzard's native language permissions or server-side chat restrictions.
