As you explore the neighborhoods of The War Within, Haven automatically records the homes you visit and tracks your exploration across plots and neighborhoods, building a persistent library of where you’ve been.

From there, you can enrich each saved home with your own structure — tags, notes, ratings, screenshots, collections, and more. Haven also includes a compact Screenshot Mode that reduces the UI to a small screenshot panel, giving you more screen space to frame and capture your shots with a single click.

World of Warcraft’s housing system is full of creativity — but it has no memory. You can discover a remarkable home, step outside, and instantly lose the path back to it.

Haven was created to solve that problem.

It gives players something the game doesn’t provide: a way to remember, revisit, and organize the homes that inspire them.

Haven automatically records where you’ve been, and then lets you layer your own meaning on top—through tags, notes, ratings, collections, and screenshots—so your favorite homes don’t disappear into the past.

Known Issues

Occasional missing plot data on first load The Blizzard housing API may return incomplete plot or neighborhood information immediately after logging in. Revisiting the house or reloading the UI usually resolves it.

Screenshot automation may vary with custom UI setups Haven’s automated UI/character hiding works reliably with the default UI. Addons that force frames to remain visible or alter frame strata may affect timing.

Visit prompts may not appear in rare cases If the Blizzard API delays reporting housing state changes, Haven may not detect the transition instantly. Silent Logging Mode will still record the visit.

Inconsistent neighborhood names on PTR builds Blizzard occasionally updates or renames neighborhoods during testing phases. Haven will automatically adapt once the API stabilizes.

Cross‑character visibility is account‑wide only Haven stores all data per account. Character‑specific filtering is not currently available.

FAQ

Does Haven share or upload my data? No. All data is stored locally on your account. Haven does not transmit or share anything outside the game.

Why didn’t the save prompt appear when I entered a house? The Blizzard housing API sometimes delays reporting housing state changes. Silent Logging Mode will still record the visit. Also ensure “Auto Prompt” is enabled. Haven logs meaningful visits — you must remain in the plot or home for at least 10 seconds.

Why does the plot or neighborhood sometimes show as “Unknown”? This can occur right after logging in or zoning. Revisiting the house or reloading the UI usually resolves it.

Does Haven work across all my characters? Yes. Haven stores everything account‑wide.

Can I export my collection or share it with others? Not yet. Exporting and sharing tools may be added in a future update.

Why do screenshots sometimes capture UI elements? Other addons may force UI frames to remain visible. The default UI works reliably.

Can I customize the tag list? Yes. Haven includes a curated taxonomy, and you can create custom labels.

Does Haven track my own house? Yes. Your personal plot is highlighted on the Plot Map.

Does Haven slow down the game? No. Haven is lightweight and only performs work when needed.
