GearScore Forever

GearScore (Forever) brings back the GearScore everyone knows from Classic and TBC Classic, adapted to World of Warcraft: Forever. At a glance you can see how well geared a player is, which helps when you put groups and raids together.

Features

• Character sheet: GS : … in the bottom-left corner and iLvl : … in the bottom-right corner, updated whenever you change gear.
• Inspect window: the same display on any player you inspect.
• Player tooltips: a player's GearScore and average item level appear when you mouse over them. The addon inspects them by itself out of combat, and it never interrupts your own inspections.
• Item tooltips: the GearScore of every piece of gear, with an extra line for Hunters.
• Tier colors: grey → white → green → blue → purple → orange, then pink above 2000.
• Automatic scale: color tiers start on the Classic scale and widen by themselves as Forever's content pushes scores higher. No setup needed.

How it's calculated

The addon uses the original GearScoreLite formula, the same one used by Classic and TBC Classic addons. An item's score depends on three things: its item level, its quality and its slot. So the thousands of new or changed items in Forever (Expertise, Spell Power, unified Hit…) are scored automatically, with no database to keep up to date. Hunter weighting (ranged weapon) and dual two-handers are handled too.

Built for the Forever client (interface 16001, Retail engine). The addon is protected against in-combat secret values and against events missing from the client.
