Release Highlight: Your World Map Gathering Companion

Find your next gathering destination with a dedicated foldout window beside the world map and quest log — designed to match the familiar World of Warcraft interface.

• Native WoW Appearance — Blizzard-style borders, quest-log backgrounds, red buttons and familiar controls help GatherWise feel at home beside your map.

• Foldout Map Window — Open or collapse the companion using the GatherWise logo and arrow beside the map. Your map and quest log remain available alongside it.

• Goals Follow Your Map View — Viewing Tirisfal? See matching goals for Tirisfal. Zoom out to a continent to explore more regions, or open the world view for the full overview.

• Find Regions for Your Goals — Explore known source regions for all open collection goals or focus on one selected material. Matching regions are ranked by how many different goals they support.

• Helpful Availability Notices — A compact message identifies goals without a known source in the area currently displayed on your map.

• Instant Goal Synchronization — Adding, removing or clearing goals updates the map companion immediately. Removing the selected goal returns the filter to “All open goals,” including when the map was closed.

• This Zone Preview — Browse known herbs, mining resources, fishing opportunities and cloth guidance for the zone currently displayed on your map.

• Interactive Region Markers — Click a GatherWise marker to open its region and explore matching materials. Markers represent possible source regions, not individual resource spawn locations.

• Quick Goal Navigation — Use “Show on map” in goal management, or right-click a goal card in the gathering or detached-goal window.

• Optional Map Controls — Enable or disable the map companion button and region markers independently.

Material Ownership & Collection Goals

• Material Ownership Tab — Browse a sorted overview of supported materials owned by your current character.

• Inventory and Bank Counts — View inventory quantities, recorded character-bank quantities and combined totals. Bank records are updated when you visit your bank; unknown contents remain clearly distinguished from confirmed stock.

• Ownership in Resource Tooltips — Check inventory and recorded bank quantities directly while hovering over supported gathering resources.

• Dedicated Goal Management — Create targets from the searchable material catalogue without changing ownership filters or already owning the material.

• My Goals Overview — Review progress, remove individual targets or clear all goals from one dedicated view.

• Combined Progress Tracking — Goals count inventory materials together with known recorded bank stock and update as your available materials change.

Interface & Customization

• Detachable Goal Window — Move collection goals into their own compact window and return them to the gathering window whenever you like.

• Independent Window Controls — Adjust the detached goal window’s position, width, height, scale and opacity separately.

• Cleaner Gathering Window — A borderless layout gives resources more room. Compact settings and close icons sit beside the current-zone information, with the former heading and logo removed.

• Full Opacity Range — Set gathering, options and detached-goal window opacity anywhere from 0% to 100%.

• Compact Starting Size — New gathering and detached-goal windows start at 80% scale. Existing saved scale choices are preserved.

• Selectable Goal Sounds — Choose between six completion tones, preview your selection and adjust its playback volume.

• Proportional Scrollbars — Scrollbar handles reflect how much of the current list is visible.

• Addon Compartment Support — Access GatherWise through Blizzard’s addon compartment.

Zone Recognition & Gathering Data

• Improved Localized Zone Recognition — Corrected map-name matching for affected regions, including The Barrens, Un’Goro Crater, Dustwallow Marsh and Hillsbrad Foothills.

• Riverglades Support — Added known herb, mining and fishing entries for Forever’s Riverglades zone. Unconfirmed requirements remain marked as unknown.

Performance & Reliability

• Improved Window Resizing — Gathering and detached-goal windows reuse their displayed content while resizing, reducing repeated work during mouse dragging.

• Lighter Slider Updates — Opacity, scale and goal-sound volume adjustments now apply without repeatedly refreshing all addon windows and material lists.

• Native Map Interaction Fixes — Fixed interference with map zooming, navigation and the quest-log collapse control.

• Efficient Map Updates — Map movement and resizing reuse existing results. Goal calculations are deferred while the world map is closed.

• Live Tooltip Updates — Map tooltips refresh or close when their underlying goal or ownership information changes.

• Safe Region Navigation — Regions that cannot be matched reliably to a map retain an explanation instead of opening an assumed location.

• Updated Translations — New interface text is available in English, German, Spanish, French and Italian.
