GatherPlate

You gather it. We remember it.

GatherPlate is a gathering recorder with world-pinned nameplates. It does not spray every possible node on the map. It marks the ones you harvested, on the exact ground you stood on, and keeps those plates visible while you fly.

That is the whole idea: fewer ghosts, more truth.

Why it exists

Herbs hide in bushes. Ore hides under roots. Most map addons show every historical spawn they have ever heard of. GatherPlate only shows work you have already done, then lets you fly a clean route back through it.

It also works as an accessibility aid. If a node is hard to see on the terrain, the plate is not.

What it does

• Records a pin when you successfully gather a watched herb or ore
• Draws a themed nameplate on that world position, like a raid marker that never leaves the dirt
• Fades plates in and out by distance, including from the air
• Covers Classic through Midnight, with per-expansion herb and ore lists
• Colors node names in settings by remaining skill-up value (orange / yellow / green / grey, white at cap)
• Lets you pick custom plate colors for herbs and ores
• Exports and imports pin databases so routes can be shared

What it refuses to do

• It will not attach anything to your cursor
• It will not scan or twitch the minimap
• It will not pin a node you have not gathered
• It will not write into the AddOns folder (Blizzard does not allow that)

Live pins are stored in SavedVariables. The portable copy lives in SharedPins.lua for sharing.

/np still works if your fingers remember it
/gp export copy a shareable database
/gp import paste one in
/gp clear wipe the current zone
/gp clearall wipe everything

Sharing pins

Open Export, copy the text, and post it.
Friends click Import and paste.
Or replace Interface/AddOns/GatherPlate/SharedPins.lua and /reload.

Old NodePlate exports still import.

Setup

1. Unzip into World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/
2. The folder name must be GatherPlate
3. Enable it at the character select addons list
4. Gather anything once
5. Fly

If you used NodePlate before, your pins are migrated on first load.

Good company

Works alongside GatherMate2 if you still want a full spawn map. GatherPlate is the "I have been here" layer, not a replacement atlas.
