Garu Combat Text

v2.2.0 (2026-10-19)

Full Changelog Previous Releases

  • Make the current settings the defaults, for 2.2.0
New installs, and Reset, now start from the settings in play: Count:
Every enemy on Damage Dealt and Actions, a 10 s hold after combat, font
size 15, every feed growing down on a 70 radius 100 degree arc in its
own spot below the middle of the screen, Damage Taken aligned right,
mana spent off, Blizzard's own damage numbers over enemies hidden, the
combat timer free below the feeds, and Copy to... bringing the position,
mirrored. The load test sets per-target counting itself where it checks
    it.

  • Put weapon procs on their own line
A seal, poison, oil, weapon enchant or shaman imbue you apply is read
from its description (FCT 0.6.7 and 0.6.8), with the school its hits are
of. A hit of that school on the unit you swung at, within a quarter
second after a melee swing of yours, is taken as its proc, one per
swing. Before, every such hit went unplaced.
Kept cautious: only a source you applied yourself, only one that hits at
once (not Deadly Poison's ticks), only while it can still be on (a seal
30 s, an imbue 5 min; a poison or oil only while the game says the weapon
is coated), and a seal that deals nothing ends the one before. Sources
are kept per character, so a poison survives a /reload. Counting every
enemy, the meter's row for a proc's damage spell is paired by name with
the spell that applied it, so it is not shown twice after the fight.
Not yet seen in game: the quarter second rests on FCT's Frost Oil timing.

  • Fix three things the Wrath and Maul trace showed
    • A killing bolt can also be reported on "target" after the target has
cleared: two of three Wrath kills came on the dying mob's plate and on
target in the same frame, and with nameplates hidden on target alone.
Such a report is now that unit's killing blow too, and one hit reported
      on both is counted once.
    • After a /reload, the first fight's meter read still held the fight from
before the reload, and Count: Every enemy put its spells on screen
(Moonfire, Melee and Thorns after a fight of Wrath alone). The meter is
now read before each fight as well, and a read after it that is the
same to the last figure is left for a later attempt.
    • Maul came with a hit of 0 and no flag in its frame. Taken as a miss, it
used up Maul's cast, and Maul's 64 was shown as Melee. A hit of nothing
with no flag is no longer a miss.
The trace is kept as tests/fights/2026-10-19-druid-wrath-kills.txt; the
replay now follows the plates the recorder marks dying.

  • Catch killing bolts on the dying target's nameplate, and late melee hits
A bolt that kills is reported a frame or two after your target clears, on
the dying unit's nameplate (FCT 0.6.10). With Damage Dealt counting only
your target that hit was dropped, and the kill was never noted either, as
no blow of yours came in the moment the target cleared. Now a hit on the
plate of the target that just cleared goes on that unit's totals, live,
and a bolt still in flight at the target when it clears marks the kill,
so with nameplates hidden it is settled from the meter after the fight.
A swing's hit is sometimes held back one more attack animation, 0.98 to
1.31 s after the swing (FCT 0.6.6, a rogue's, mostly with an ability
between the two). The melee window goes from 1.0 to 1.35 s, as FCT waits
for any swing whose animation it does not know.

  • Keep tests/ and the logo out of the packaged zip
v2.1.0 shipped tests/ and logo.png inside the addon. .pkgmeta lists both under
ignore, but each had a comment on the same line, and the packager reads
"tests # offline checks..." as a path of that name -- which matches nothing --
so neither was left out. (logo.png has been riding along that way since the line
was written.) The lines without a comment, .github and the rest, were ignored as
they should be. The notes move to their own lines above the list.
Harmless to players: the game only loads what the TOC lists. The next release
    comes out clean.
