User Guide – GargulSR Master Looter
1. Install the right addon
a. Download and install Gargul from CurseForge.
b. Download GargulInGameSoftReserves
c. Extract the ZIP so its addon folder sits directly inside Interface/AddOns.
d. Ensure all participating addon users run the newest version of each.
2. Start a raid as master looter
a. Join or start the raid, assign the intended master looter in WoW, and open /gsr.
b. In the addon, go to the “Master Looter” tab.
c. Select the correct raid and number of SRs from the dropdown.
d. Click “New Raid” to begin the raid, and confirm after reading the warning message.
3. Import and collect reserves
a. Visit the correct link on Softres.it, if your players have created reserves beforehand.
b. On Softres.it, click “Gargul” and then “Copy to clipboard”.
c. Ingame, open “Advanced Controls” in the addon.
d. Click “Website import” and paste the data from Softres.it. This should import the list.
e. Now you have a list of pre-created SRs, lock the Softres.it site. You do not need it anymore.
f. Press “Adopt Gargul data” to merge any ingame reserves with the imported list. You should now see the list of SRs in your addon:
g. Players can now use their own addon to create or edit reserves, or whisper you with !gsr and the item name or item ID. Note that any corrections or additions made this way will overwrite the import.
h. Pressing “Manage” beside the player’s name will allow you to edit directly if required.
i. Players can see their reserves in their own addon, and a list of the full raid reserves in “Raid Reserves”.
j. At raid start, press “Apply to Gargul” to send all the reserves through to Gargul. If there are any additional changes after you press this button, a warning message will appear at the top left:
k. Finally, click “Lock reserves” button to ensure no further changes can be made after you pull. The top left should read like this when you start the raid:
4. Additional edge cases
1. Changing Master Looter mid-raid
a. Prior to switching to a new Master Looter, the previous ML should ensure that they have all the data already synced into Gargul.
b. After changing Master Looter, but before the previous one logs off, the new ML must type /gsr, navigate to the “Master Looter” tab and press “Take over synced raid”.
c. The new Master Looter should then click “Apply to Gargul”.
d. The old Master Looter can now log off/leave the raid safely.
e. If you want to announce the new Master Looter to the raid for clarity, use “Announce/refresh host” to send a message to the raid group.
f. CAUTION: Do NOT press “New Raid”. This will reset the raid entirely!
2. Closing the raid or need to reset
a. Type “CLEAR” into the bar at the bottom of the “Master Looter” tab. This is case sensitive.
b. Click “Clear/unlock everything”.
c. CAUTION: this will reset everything, including your imported reserves, but not loot history or rolls on Gargul.
3. Something isn’t right in Gargul
a. You can clear the data you sent to Gargul by pressing “Restore pre-apply backup”.
b. This should reset any issues between Gargul and GargulSR and allow you to retry.
