ForeverVista 0.5.0
What's new
ForeverVista 0.5.0 — Discover, capture and share Azeroth Viewpoints
With the new Viewpoints feature, you can save a scenic location and request a clean screenshot with the game UI hidden. Start from the Viewpoints tab, the Camera button, or a right-click on the minimap icon. The addon records the location, plays a shutter sound, and brings the main window back after the shot.
Visit https://www.forevervista.world to share your discoveries. Copy a Viewpoint code from the addon into the website form, preview the location on the map, select the right screenshot, and see its thumbnail before saving a private submission. Submissions are reviewed before appearing in the public gallery. Screenshot selection and upload happen on the website; the addon cannot upload the image for you.
The journey works both ways: browse Viewpoints shared by other players on the website, copy an available location code, and paste it into ForeverVista to preview the map position and find a scenic place for your next shot.
Visual settings are more personal, too. Create up to five named profiles, switch between them, and update or cancel a preview without changing the game settings until you choose Apply and confirm.
What's new in 0.5.0
Viewpoints
- Vista Spots are now Viewpoints. Existing saved spots and FV1 codes remain compatible, as does /wff spots; /wff viewpoints is also available.
- Capture the location and request a screenshot with the game UI hidden and shutter feedback. Use the Viewpoints tab, the quick Camera panel, or right-click the minimap icon.
- Add or edit an optional description of up to 240 characters. Saved Viewpoints are shown newest first, and an unsaved capture can be discarded.
- A gold Viewpoint saved message confirms the action and disappears after five seconds.
Website and sharing
- Copy your FV1 code into https://www.forevervista.world/condividi to preview the map position and screenshot before saving a private submission for review.
- Explore the community gallery and copy shared location codes back into the addon to find those places in game.
- Screenshots are stored by the game and must be selected and uploaded on the website manually; no image is embedded in the FV1 code.
Visual settings
- Create up to five named custom profiles. Select and apply one, update it with confirmation, rename it, or delete it. Create profile always starts a new profile.
- Cancel restores the active profile's preview, or the current in-game values when no profile is active.
- Visual-settings sections start collapsed. The pending-changes summary appears only in that tab; the other tabs use the full available space.
Languages
- Updated interface text in English, Italian, French, Spanish and German.
