What's new

0.9.2: The info bar in your own order, with cooldowns, time, zone and volume

The cooldowns of all your characters on the info bar. A new icon, on by default, lists every character's Dedicated Study and long profession cooldowns when you hover it: Mooncloth, Transmute: Arcanite and Transmute: Legionite, the elemental transmutes in one line, and the Salt Shaker. Each says how long until it is ready, or "Ready". A line leaves the list as soon as its character no longer has it, a profession unlearned or Dedicated Study given back; for another character that shows at its next login. "Cooldowns" on the Info bar page switches it off.

The time, the zone and the volume on the info bar, each off until you switch it on. The time stands first on the bar, followed by the zone and the coordinates, which moved there from the middle of the bar. It reads like the game's own clock and starts at local time and 24 hours the first time you switch it on; both can be changed on the Info bar page, and the game's clock follows. The zone shows the area you are in beside its name, in the colors of the minimap. Hovering the volume opens a slider for the game's master volume, and it turns red while all sound is off.

The info bar in your own order. Switch on "Allow reordering" on the Info bar page and drag its entries into the order you want; the bar follows at once, and "Restore default order" puts everything back. Its lists and hover texts open centered under a value, and above the bar while it sits in the lower half of the screen.

Gold by ruleset. The gold can count all your characters, those of this ruleset, those of this ruleset and faction, which are the ones you can mail gold to, or only the one you play: WoW Forever keeps its rulesets apart rather than its realms. Hovering the gold lists all your characters, the ones it does not count grayed out, or leaves those out with "Hide characters not counted". Behind a name, a character of the other faction carries its faction's badge, and one of another ruleset says PvE or PvP. The characters offered at the mailbox are those of your ruleset and faction.

Tracking a whole zone says when the tracker is full. A click on a zone's box in the quest log tracks what still fits and then shows the game's own message that no more quests can be tracked, where it used to do nothing without a word.

The two buff displays are named by what they hold, General Warnings and Combat Buffs. The Buffs page says that every buff has a fixed display and that you move the displays rather than single buffs, and each buff shown on the Combat Buffs display is marked so. While you move a display, the chat names the button that finishes it.

Inner Fire's charges are counted in a fight, like Lightning Shield's. Each melee or ranged hit that deals physical damage spends one charge, and the missing buff icon appears once the last charge is gone. Hits that deal no damage spend no charges. The extra charges of Improved Inner Fire are read from the buff itself. Buffs with one charge remaining, including Lightning Shield, are no longer treated as missing.

Three tabs per row in every language. The settings window is a little wider, so French, Russian and Spanish now show three tabs per row, like English and German. Dialog buttons are wide enough to fit their labels.

Clearer English. Many hover texts and messages say more plainly what a setting does, from a review of every text in the addon; the translations follow where the meaning changed.
