Player chat spoken aloud in WoW Forever

Stuck at 33% downloaded with a voice pack? That's normal, it first downloads the pack then takes most of the 5-10 minutes extracting the hundreds of thousands of mp3 files, then continues with the installation.

Install this Core plus one or two voice packs (one recommended). The Core contains the speech engine, settings and interface; recordings are downloaded separately. Gameplay speech runs entirely inside WoW, with no external speech program needed while playing.

Installation

1. Install ForeverPlayerVoicedTTS - Core through CurseForge for your WoW Forever installation.
2. Choose and install one or two voice packs (one recommended) below. You do not need all four.
3. Wait for installation to finish, then restart WoW. Enable the Core and your chosen voice pack(s) in the AddOns menu.
4. Click the minimap icon or type /fpvtts, choose your chat channels and try a voice preview.

• Alliance Male
• Alliance Female

If you install only one pack for a faction, both male and female characters of that faction use that pack's voices. Installing both gender packs adds the corresponding voices.

Installation warning: Each voice pack can take about 5-10 minutes to install because it contains hundreds of thousands of small MP3 audio files. Time varies with your computer and storage speed; allow the installation to finish before starting WoW.

Game loading warning: One or two voice packs, one recommended. Each installed pack may add around 5 seconds to startup and loading times, depending on your computer. More packs increase the delay; installing all four can make loading times very long.

Features

• Recorded phrases and words first, then assembled recorded pieces for additional words and names. Unsupported text can use WoW's built-in TTS; unfamiliar names and assembled pronunciations may be approximate.
• Select chat categories, public channels and custom channels; optionally announce each speaker's first name.
• Reorder waiting-message priorities and limit the backlog, enabled by default. The current message finishes before the next begins.
• Adjust recording gaps and native TTS balance; save settings in presets.
• Player muting, repeated-message filtering, optional spelling/slang normalization, voice previews and a recording-gap test.

Speech substitutions affect spoken output only; original chat text stays unchanged. Recorded audio uses WoW's Dialogue channel. Use Master and Dialogue volume plus the addon's TTS balance control. Native fallback requires an available voice in WoW's Accessibility / Text to Speech settings.

Updates

Core updates provide logic fixes without downloading unchanged voice packs again. Update a voice pack when its audio changes; compatible core and pack versions can differ. Earlier full voice editions also work with this Core.

Designed for WoW Forever, including its custom races. This download contains no recorded voice bank.
