v0.5.0-forever
What's new
ForeverGold
v0.5.0
- What your loot could fetch at the Auction House: the details pane of a farm or dungeon run opened its loot list with "potential" while every row showed a vendor price, and the auction figure was buried in the tooltip of a muted line. The block now starts with the run's totals by basis — vendor, Auction House and your own sale prices — and the item rows carry an AH column beside the vendor one. The AH parts appear only while Auctionator is answering, so without it you keep the vendor column alone; "Your sales" needs no Auctionator and shows either way. A note under the totals says how many units nothing priced, how many a rule kept out of the AH figure, and how old the AH prices are.
- Keeping an item out of the AH value: Auctionator gives the last scan's lowest buyout, so a single absurd
listing could inflate the potential value of every run that drops the item. Two ways to say no: a quality floor
in Settings › General › Loot value, below which items are not valued at the AH (the default is Poor, so nothing
changes until you pick one), and a list of named items — right click an item in a loot list, add one with
/fg farm exclude <item link>, or manage the list in Settings. An excluded item keeps its count and its vendor and own-sale value; it only loses its AH price, live and in the loot toast. - A farm run's details: the pane showed two looted items and rolled the rest into "N more". It now lists every item the run kept, and the body scrolls instead of dropping what falls past the bottom, so "Where the gold came from", the items and the count are always reachable without dragging the window taller.
- A dungeon run's details: All runs now marks the run you click — the open one, or the newest until you pick another — and draws it in a card beside the list, on the farm pane's model: tiles, the looted coin and every kept item. By dungeon keeps its hover, since a dungeon row sums runs and has no single run to show.
- The smallest window is bigger: 800 x 500. At the old minimum the Overview had to squeeze its cards and lists below the size they were designed at, and Farming folded its details pane away, so a farm run's details replaced the list instead of sitting beside it. Neither can happen now.
- Fixes: "Don't value at the AH" and "Uncommon and above" were cut off in their popups, which now measure their labels; a popup reaching past the window's edge drew under its border; and Top items no longer offers the exclusion entry, since it shows realized profit on your trades, not a loot valuation.
v0.4.0
- Reaching a gold goal: it was easy to miss and left you with nothing to do about it. A met goal now tells you once — a line in chat, a short toast and a dot on the minimap button — and the goal strip offers New goal and Done in place of the arrow, so you can set the next one or put the goal away in a click. The toast lands under the mini view while you have one up, else under the minimap button, instead of across the middle of the screen where the game puts its own messages and you are usually fighting. It is on by default and can be turned off in Settings.
- Toasts: the plaque is smaller, and it now carries the ForeverGold emblem, so a notice dropping in over the game says at a glance whose it is. This covers the loot toast too.
- Minimap button: the coin is a little smaller, so it sits level with your other minimap buttons instead of looming over them, and the button now has a name, so addons that gather minimap buttons into one bar can find and collect it.
- A met goal stays met: spending the gold you saved no longer turns the goal back into "420g to go". It reads Reached until you set a new one or clear it.
- The notice is once per goal, not once per session: a reload no longer announces a goal you already reached, gold wobbling around the target stays quiet, and the three cases that used to say nothing at all now tell you — a goal you set below the gold you already have, one crossed while the addon was off, and logging in already past it.
v0.3.0
- Gold goal in the mini view: the goal now has a block of its own, set off by a rule like the run blocks. It shows what you are saving for and the amount you are aiming at, over a progress bar with the percentage and, once there is a week of history, how long it should take at your recent pace.
- Gold goal pace: the estimate was always too long. It now divides what you earned by the days actually covered rather than a flat week, and says nothing at all until there is a day of history to go on, instead of promising a date it could not know.
- Farm runs: the pace line against your usual rate for a note appeared only when the note was typed with the same capitalisation as the first time you used it. Looted gold per hour no longer counts paused time, so it matches the figure beside it.
- Auction House: a purchase made after walking away from an auctioneer, rather than closing the window, could be recorded with another auction's quantity and price. Posting history no longer records auctions a second time after a reload, and an auction that sells only part of its stack counts only what sold.
- Dungeon runs: a day's totals are no longer thrown away if one stored field is unreadable.
v0.2.0
- Gold goal: the goal now sits in a panel across the top of the Overview that says when no goal is set and opens the editor wherever you click it. The mini view can set one too, in a small box beside it, without opening the main window.
- Mini view: two new numbers, Spent today and Session spent; a live farm run shows its pace against your usual rate for that note; hovering explains what clicks do; a button in its header opens the metric picker. Today and 7 days now roll over at midnight on their own.
- Repairs: a new drill-in under Income & Spending › Summary › By category breaks your repair bill down by character, zone or day.
- Valuable loot: an optional toast when you loot something worth more than your threshold during a farm or dungeon run. Off by default; turn it on in Settings.
- Fixes: settings no longer store a value that matches the default, and retired options are cleaned up.
v0.1.1
- Farming: with Auctionator installed, a live farm run shows the potential gold per hour of your loot at vendor and AH prices (never counted as gold).
- Income & Spending and Farming & Dungeons: the sub-tabs now sit on a panel that holds the page's content.
v0.1.0-beta1
First public beta: a gold ledger for World of Warcraft: Forever.
- Overview: gold on hand, today's and 7-day net, a gold goal, and your top income and expense sources.
- Income & Spending: every gold change by source, zone and character, over any time range, with a chart of your gold over time and vendor sales and purchases item by item.
- Farming & Dungeons: gold per hour for farm runs, dungeon runs tracked on their own, and coin per enemy.
- Auction House profit: realized profit on what you bought and sold, also on item tooltips (hold Shift for details).
- Mini view and minimap button with the numbers you choose.
