ForeverForge_2.0.0.zip
What's new
ForeverForge 2.0 is alt-aware: the suite now knows your other characters (what they carry, wear, have in the mail and at the auction house) and shows it where you need it. Every alt line says how old its info is, and only characters of the faction you're playing count. Most switches are in Core » Your characters, shared by every character on the account. Each module's own alt parts are on that module's settings page. Turn off Alt-aware features at the top of the page and everything works for this character only, as before. Full game restart needed (new files - /reload isn't enough).
Welcome to 2.0
- "Calling all alt lovers!" A box at your first login with 2.0 says what the suite now does for your alts and how to get their info in, with OPEN CHARACTERS and SETTINGS. It shows once per account;
/forge welcomebrings it back.
Your characters
- One page for your characters (Core » Your characters): every character on this faction, this account first, then each linked account. Tick INCLUDE to count a character, BANK to mark your bank character ("(Bank)" goes after its name everywhere, one per faction), set LEVELS for how early gear counts for it, and pick its COLOR for the bags. Characters not played in the last 30 days are left out until you tick them. FORGET removes what's saved about one; it comes back when it logs in.
- Focus alt: the alt the suite thinks of first. Auto picks the alt an item is the biggest upgrade for, or the one you played last. Pick it on the page or right-click the minimap button.
- "What is this character for?" A new character's first login asks: Main, Bank alt, DE alt or Crafter (or Skip). Change it any time under MORE in the Characters window.
- What isn't read on this character: your alts only know what each character has shown the game. A THIS CHARACTER strip (Core » Your characters, and ROSTER) lists what's missing here - "Info not read yet: Tailoring, Enchanting · bank (visit a banker)" - with UPDATE PROFESSIONS (one profession per click, read out of sight; needs ForeverForge Training), then a checklist of places to visit (bank, mailbox, auction house...) that ticks itself as you open each one. At login, one chat line says what's missing (only something never read, or a recipe learned since - not a read that is just a few days old), with a link that starts the update. Each part has its own switch.
- Old info is marked: an alt's age turns red after 7 days (Mark alt info older than). When characters were played on another PC since this one last saw them, the page says their info may be behind.
Item tooltips
- You, then your alts: your count first, then each alt with where it is (worn, bags, keyring, bank, mail, auction house) and how old that count is. A few alts show; hold Shift for more (or pick Alt or Always). Mail you send to your own alt shows right away as "sent 5m ago, not seen".
- Upgrade for your alts: gear says which alt it beats: "Upgrade for Brandy Mae". Gear counts up to 5 levels early (LEVELS sets one alt's own). Hold Shift for alts that can't wear it yet ("needs level 26"), their weapon skill and who could enchant it first (thanks, PlutoYork).
- More about your alts, each with its own switch: which alt can use an item when your Requires line is red; quest items an alt's open quest still needs; who can open a lockbox; who can learn a recipe; a bag's "Bigger bag for: Brandy Mae"; your standing and your alts' on turn-in items (scourgestones, feathers, runecloth...); which characters haven't done the quest an item starts. With Shift held: who can make an item, whose recipes use it, and set pieces your alts hold.
- Shows once the game confirms it: account and guild banks, mounts kept per character, and your alts' currencies.
- WHICH ALT? Click an item link in chat, then WHICH ALT? under it: who can use it, who it's an upgrade for and how many each has.
- Build your own tooltip (Core » Item tooltip) has four new lines for your alts, and each can show only while you hold Shift.
The Characters window
- One window for every character (
/forge alts, right-click the minimap button, or OPEN on Core » Your characters). ROSTER: gold, free bag space, guild, hearth, played time and what waits for each one. FIND: any item or recipe on all your characters, with where and how old. CHARACTER: look through an alt's gear, bags, bank, mail and auctions. WHICH ALT?: drop in an item. PROFESSIONS: who has what, and what nobody has yet. - FOR YOU: gear on your alts (bags, bank, mail) that would be an upgrade for the character you're playing. ASK TO MAIL (or REMIND ME in FIND) notes it, and that alt's mailbox lists it next time with a FILL button: one click fills one letter, you click Send.
/forge find <name>and/forge make <item>(who can make it, and who could learn the recipe). Settings search also ends with 'Find "linen" on your characters'.- Remember /played (off until you turn it on): asks the game once, quietly, after login, so ROSTER can show played time.
Quests, loot and upgrades
- Quest rewards for your alts: a small arrow in the alt's color on a reward that suits your focus alt, or the alt it's the biggest upgrade for.
- Auto quest stops for your alts' rewards: when Reward choice picks for you and a reward is an upgrade for an alt (none for you), it leaves the pick to you and says which alt. Take rewards for your focus alt (off until you turn it on) takes the bind-on-equip one instead.
- Quest window: a slim line under it says which alts have the quest or have done it, and, when you're short of an item, which alts hold it.
- Notes on loot rolls: one line under a group loot roll's item: an upgrade for you or an alt, an alt whose profession uses it, or one who can disenchant it.
- Stats for an alt (Core » Upgrades » Stats for): set an alt's three upgrade stats from any character; it takes them at its next login.
- Holiday quests per character shows once the game confirms it.
Mail, gold and shopping
- Mail and auctions count: opening a mailbox saves what's in it (the first 50 letters). At login one line says when an alt's mail is about to expire (3 days) or its auctions have ended. The minimap mail icon lists your alts' mail too.
- Remind me at logout: while /camp or /quit counts down, one line when items set aside for alts are still in your bags or alt mail is about to go. It never stops the logout.
- Set-aside items going to someone else: without Mass Mail & Trade, a letter or trade to another player that holds an item set aside for an alt gets an amber edge and a chat line. A warning, never a block (thanks, PlutoYork).
- Gold: the gold list (ForeverForge Bags, Info Panels) shows you first, then each alt with how old its count is and gold in its mail or at the auction house, plus how your gold moved this week.
- Our shop window (Core » Automations): recipe marks for your alts, AMOUNT shows which alt has the most, USABLE ONLY steps through your alts, the Buyback tab marks what an alt could use, and when your focus alt is a Hunter low on ammo, the shop offers to buy some for it. With ForeverForge Bags, AMOUNT also gets a FOR button to buy for your focus alt.
- Worn gear on alts: once at login, which alts had gear under your durability warning when last played (Core » Tweaks).
- Suggestions for your alts (for ForeverForge Bags): quest items an alt still needs, ammo and class reagents you can't use, recipes an alt can learn, food and potions for lower alts, and reputation turn-ins - each with its own switch. Gear for your Disenchanter shows once the game confirms the disenchant skill table.
Linked accounts
- Share character details (on): linked accounts on 2.0 also swap each character's gear, level, free bag space, professions, mailbox counts, auctions and macro names, each with its age. Also share reputation, quests and known recipes is off until both accounts turn it on. Letters, macro text and completed quests are never shared.
- COPY MY CHARACTERS makes a new, shorter line. Lines from 1.x still paste.
- Your alts stay yours: alt info only ever goes to your own linked accounts, never to other players.
At launch
- Beta characters are cleared: on the first login after launch (November 4), saved info about characters from the beta goes, with an UNDO until you log out.
Also new
- Flight timer (Core » Tweaks, on): on a flight, a small window shows where you are going and how long until you land. A route you have not flown yet counts up like a stopwatch, and its time is saved when you land, so next time it counts down.
Fixed (also in 1.32.1 and 1.32.2)
- Item counts include your profession bag and keyring.
- Pasting a character list from a newer ForeverForge says so, instead of "That isn't a list of characters".
