ForeverForge_Bags_2.0.0.zip
What's new
ForeverForge 2.0 is alt-aware: your bags now know your other characters. Set things aside for them, mail them in a few clicks, and stop selling or destroying what an alt could use. Who counts as an alt, your bank character, alt colors and the level window for gear are in Core » Your characters. Most Bags parts have a switch in Bags settings » Sections » Alts. Update ForeverForge core to 2.0 too, then fully restart the game (not just /reload): 2.0 adds new files.
The Alts section
- Set things aside for your alts (thanks, PlutoYork): each of your other characters (your faction) gets a category of its own. In the bag window they show as one section, Alts, each alt's items under its name. Hover an item to see who it's for. Only what can be mailed goes there - never soulbound, quest or conjured items.
- Gear upgrades find their alt (thanks, PlutoYork): gear you loot that beats an alt's gear, within its level window, goes straight to that alt. Gear you buy for an alt at the auction house or a shop, and a quest reward you take for one, are set aside as they arrive.
- Drop an item on the Alts title and it goes to the alt it's best for. In SORTING mode, clicking an item now offers Send to: your focus alt, your bank alt and the alts that could use it, with why and how old that is - plus More characters, Stop sending and Don't suggest for alts.
- APPLY MATS gives each crafting material to the alt whose professions use it, and asks when several could. ADD NEW ONLY moves nothing already placed: a new mining alt gets the ore, the tailor keeps the cloth.
- BANK HELPER lists what none of your characters use, with checkboxes, and files the ones you tick into a section of yours.
- Alt colors: items set aside for an alt get that alt's border color. Both the colors and the grouping by alt switch off in Core » Your characters.
- An old section of yours called "Alts" is renamed "Alts (mine)" at login, items and place kept.
Categories window
- CATEGORIES in the bag window's header opens a small window: search any item in the game by name, then drag it onto one of your sections or an alt. "Show items" opens each one to see, move or remove what's in it. Also
/fbags categories.
Marks on your items
- Alt dot: a small dot in an alt's color on an item that's an upgrade, a recipe it can learn or a quest item for that alt. "+" means more than one wants it; gray means the info is old. Core » Your characters » Dot on items an alt wants.
- For: picker in the header sets your focus alt. Gear that's an upgrade for it gets a second, smaller arrow in its color. Auto picks the alt each item helps most.
- Tooltips say who an item is for and why ("For Brandy Mae: upgrade · gear 2h"), with how old the info is. A recipe all your crafters know says so. A "to disenchant" reason for your disenchanter shows once the game confirms it.
Mail, trade and bank
- MAIL at the mailbox: click the Alts title (MAIL ALL) or hover an alt's name for its own MAIL. One click fills one letter - To: and up to 12 items - and you click Send. With Mass Mail & Trade, each Send fills the next letter, alt after alt.
- With Mass Mail & Trade: its queue's ADD works on the Alts title and on each alt's name, with their name in To:. While it's mailing or trading one of your alts, the Alts title says FOR: and their name, and their items come first. Trading one of your own characters, the Alts title queues just what's set aside for them.
- New Automate choice, "Mail to a character": at the mailbox, a section of yours offers to mail its items to the character picked on its card.
- TAKE OUT at the bank: hover an alt's name in the bank's Alts section and everything set aside for it moves to your bags, one stack at a time.
- ACCOUNT BANK button on the bank window: drop an item on it for all your characters. It shows once the game has an account bank.
Safety nets
- Sales keep what an alt could use: sections set to sell at vendors leave out anything set aside or bought for an alt, an upgrade, a recipe it can learn or an item its quest needs. The sale says what it kept and why, with SELL THEM TOO. Gray items still sell, and right-click selling is never blocked.
- Posting does too: sections set to post on the auction house hold the same things back, with POST THEM TOO. Materials still post.
- DESTROY asks first about anything an alt could use, whatever its rarity, and names the alt. In the cheapest-first view those stacks come last.
- PROFESSIONS mode and Ctrl+Shift warn when an alt could use the item ("Disenchant - Brandy Mae could use this: upgrade"). Turn on Professions » Don't aim at what an alt could use to have them skip those items.
Search and free space
- Search your alts: when a search finds nothing here, a line under the box says which alts have it and how old that is, with OPEN for the Characters window. The new ALL button asks your alts even when it's here.
- Hover the free slot count to see which alts have the most room, bags and bank.
Shared categories
- Share every bag category (Core » Your characters » Bag categories shared by your characters » All categories): your own sections become the same on every character. Bags merges them and asks once about each clash. CANCEL or RESTORE puts everyone back exactly as they were; switching back offers PUT EACH BACK.
Fixed
- Bag tooltip lines stay put: the lines Bags adds (a protected tool, a combined icon's stacks, what right-click moves at the bank) no longer vanish a moment after you hover.
- A better Destroy mode (MacDuff's design, thank you!): your bags split into Junk (grays, the Junk section and sections set to sell at vendors, at vendor price), Other, and Protected (sections ticked "Ask before destroying" and anything an alt could use - greyed out, always asks). Quest items stay out of the way, each title shows what the next stack is worth, and it's one column. Destroy all: right-click the Junk or Other title - it always asks first ("this can't be undone"), then each mouse-wheel notch destroys the next stack.
