The real world: the game's own terrain as one seamless map you pan across the whole world, with a map for every dungeon and raid. Blizzard's painted maps as an option.
What's new
0.51.3: Map opacity. A new slider on the settings page (under Map) and in the gear's menu sets how much of the map window shows at all times, from 20% to 100%. 100% (solid) is the default, so nothing changes until you move it. Fade while moving fades no higher than it.
0.51.2: Blackfathom Deeps in one piece. The game's 1.60.1.70450 patch rebuilt Blackfathom Deeps (the Pool of Ask'ar's two rooms became one) and redrew its map pictures, so the map showed the dungeon in scattered pieces. Its rooms and pictures now come from 1.60.1.70450.
