What's new

Changelog

Player-facing notes from the first public beta package onward. Internal tooling, authoring slash commands, and packaging-only tweaks are omitted.

1.0.7.10

  • My Group map: zoom/pan past the entrance crop; Find a party member from the map or roster (cross-zone prefers their zone, fog reveal when needed).
  • Roster right-click: Set Tank / Healer / Damage / Clear Role, Kick (leader), offline duration on rows.
  • Class roster banners refreshed (including Death Knight); steadier player arrow on the map.
  • Browse search operators (& / | / !) and Showing N · M hidden status (carried in the 1.0.7 line).
  • Context menus no longer swallow movement keys while open (Escape still closes them).

1.0.5

  • Chat lexicon window (/fgfn lexicon) for ambiguous LFG phrases stored locally.
  • Browse ignore / unignore for players; session hides and permanent ignores.
  • Guild / chat parse fixes; My Group class banners and native Role Check.
  • Options and minimap polish.

1.0.3

  • My Group chrome and Classic icon polish.
  • Publish unlock after clearing dungeon selection.
  • Collapse duplicate chat ads per character.
  • Pure-DPS class role inference restored on seeking listings.

1.0.0

First CurseForge-oriented release cut.

  • My Group and Browse UX polish for release.
  • FiGiFiN cheat / authoring chrome kept out of the shipped build.
  • Packaging tightened so capture/harvest modules stay out of the zip.

Late 0.x → 1.0.0 (folded in before the CF cut)

Worth calling out even if they never shipped as separate CF files:

  • My Listing — dungeon focus banner card, local-only listing note, recruiting preference while solo (effective intent stays Seeking until you have a party), Publish no longer stuck on stale “pending” after reload.
  • Browse — refreshed-ago tied to last FGF Refresh (not soft pool merges); FiGiFiN launcher on the toolbar band.
  • Native LFG bridge — FGFN side tab into Browse / My Group.
  • Chat parser tiers: aliases vs typos, local unknown-phrase collector.

0.5.x-beta

  • 0.5.1 — /fgfnping defaults to PARTY (shared addon messages, not whispers).
  • 0.5.0 — Persist Browse list/details split (50–70%); Details party rail layout; comms probe on GUILD/PARTY/RAID addon channels. Listing gossip still not shipping.

Also in this era (My Group / adventure line):

  • AdventureSession My Group: destination that survives reload, entrance + interior maps, Forever map reveal catalog, flight-path tips and flight assist.
  • Soft-loaded FiGiFiN waiting-room dice game.

0.4.0-beta

  • Virtualized Browse rows (viewport-sized pool + scrollbar sync).
  • Early Forever addon-comms connectivity probe (listing gossip gated).

0.3-ish / pre-0.4 hardening

Not always tagged as their own zip, but part of the beta story:

  • Native Browse/Publish gated below level 10 (Forever rule); chat ads still work earlier.
  • Browse native results owned by FGF Refresh — opening the game LFG UI with a different filter no longer empties your All-Dungeons list.
  • Refresh no longer hung on “searching” after DevUI left the TOC.
  • Full-zone map reveal restored for entrance previews; smaller shipped banner media.

0.2.0-beta

First package aimed at players (not just validation UI):

  • Browse — native Group Finder results and chat LFG/LFM in one list, with filters and a details pane.
  • My Listing redesign — dungeon selection, roles, Publish through Forever’s Group Finder.
  • Entrance map previews on details; clearer native publish UX.
  • Minimap button; authoring/capture tooling kept out of the player zip.
