Known Limitation
WoW Forever protects Combat Log messages using Blizzard's new protected string / KString system.
Because of this, the addon can display accurate outgoing Combat Log messages, but it cannot safely parse or shorten them.
For example, the addon may display:
Your Heroic Strike hit Rockhide Boar 27 Physical.
instead of:
Heroic Strike 27 Physical.
Attempting to reconstruct shorter messages from other combat events can cause incorrect damage attribution when multiple players attack the same target, so Floating Combat Info currently prioritizes accuracy over shorter text.
This may be improved if Blizzard exposes additional combat-log APIs in future updates.
Beta Notice
WoW Forever is still evolving, and Blizzard may change combat-related APIs during development.
Floating Combat Info is also under active development. If you encounter missing, duplicated, or incorrectly positioned combat information, please report what happened and which ability or combat event triggered it.
