What's new
FlashHUD 1.41
This release brings together the wheel, PvP, layout and appearance work from the 1.40 development series, along with fixes shaped by in-game testing.
Wheels and ping actions
- Added an action library for placing supported pings, target markers and ground markers on your wheels.
- Ground-ping sessions allow repeated pings. Right-click or Escape ends the session.
- Marker actions unavailable in your current group situation are dimmed. Ground markers still follow the game's group and permission requirements.
- Supported spell/item cooldowns display on wheel actions. Each wheel retains its own contents, appearance and shortcut.
Dedicated PvP settings
- PvP now has its own main tab, with separate Duel and Alerts sections.
- Added an opposing-player targeting warning with a movable popup and configurable text, size, colour, sound and display duration.
- Choose whether the warning applies in the open world or battlegrounds, and which enemy details it displays.
- Optional warning clicks can target the displayed enemy and apply a selected raid marker outside combat, when a valid enemy is exposed and the game permits the action.
- Duel settings include the three-second countdown, countdown sound and optional automatic duel decline. The countdown preview restarts from three.
- Automation keeps its Quality of Life settings separate from PvP.
Specialization layouts
- Improved automatic BM, MM and Survival layout switching using the client's available talent information.
- Edit another spec's HUD layout without changing talents, then return to your active spec's layout.
- Copy current HUD layout to all specs applies the current layout once.
- Always save HUD changes for all three specs shares future layout edits. Turn it off to keep layouts separate.
- Copy/share actions explain what will change before replacing saved layouts. Cooldown spell lists remain spec-specific.
- Removed redundant diagnostic and auto-enable buttons after the reported respec-switching issue was resolved.
Cast bars, mana and appearance
- Illustrated cast-bar frames for Night Elf, Dwarf, Tauren, Orc, Human and Troll, with smoother sampling and clearer readouts. Normal borders remain available.
- Filled the decorative end areas while keeping casting information readable. Attached cast/swing rows share artwork where appropriate; detached rows use their own frames.
- Mana stays plain in every theme. Attached artwork splits around the mana row, including when mana sits between other bars.
- Added Mana / MP5 tick previews showing the five-second-rule spark and countdown. These are appearance simulations, not measurements of actual regeneration.
- Adaptive mode can keep Cast, Auto Shot, Melee or Mana at the bottom. One bar is pinned at a time; clearing the choice restores manual ordering.
- Fixed mode keeps manual ordering and ignores the adaptive bottom-bar choice.
- The Auto Shot stop-moving cue uses the selected lead time before the displayed bar ends, with optional latency allowance. Native shot timing is unchanged.
Editing and previews
- Hold Alt and hover a main tab or subtab to preview that section without selecting it. Away from a tab, the selected section is previewed.
- Alt placement previews and total unlock use matching layout outlines.
- Added an outline-strength slider and exact percentage input. Guides remain visible above preview content and do not fade merely because another outline is nearby.
- Improved Night Elf placement artwork while retaining the other race styles and yellow-border option.
- Reduced repeated layout/capture work when moving between CombatHUD previews, resolving the reported hover stutter.
- Reorganized bar options into three columns with a dedicated adaptive bottom-bar section.
Fixes and compatibility
- Fixed the reported Mend Pet preview text-colour Lua error and PvP-tab export-menu error.
- Corrected reported preview border/mask rendering, hover flicker and menu interaction issues.
- Fixed Tame Beast and Beast Training returning to full opacity after theme/menu/combat transitions.
- Improved preview cleanup and reuse when switching samples or closing settings.
- Existing profiles, settings, saved layouts and character keybinds are preserved. No settings reset is required.
FlashHUD remains a WoW Forever beta addon. Client restrictions apply to targeting, markers and readable effects. Range values, Summon Hawk timers and Auto Shot loading displays retain their documented estimates. Advanced trinket/proc edge cases remain part of ongoing beta testing.
