What's new

Changelog

1.2.0 (2026-09-28)

  • Shared raid session: the raid session is shared with the raid leader and assistants who have FixedRaid, and everybody sees every change at once. Assistants join by themselves, or are asked when they have a session of their own.
  • The owner of a shared session can lock editing and hand the session over, and an away owner can be taken over. Only the owner finishes the raid, places markers automatically and takes players who left off their roles. Undo after a deletion and dragging rows work for everybody in the session.
  • A switch in the settings panel (RAID SESSION) turns sharing off.
  • The Roster and Groups tabs mark the raid leader and assistants who have FixedRaid with its logo after their names, in colour when they share the plan with you.
  • First open: a step title too long for one line wraps to a second line beside its number instead of running out of its card, and the step numbers sit in squares at any UI scale.
  • Groups: a role dropped on another role swaps places with it instead of sending it to the pool (from the pool, the role it replaces still goes to the pool). A role dropped on a group's card outside its spots, for example on its title, takes the group's first free spot.
  • Roster during a raid: an empty role shows its planned class and spec in the SPEC column ("Paladin, Holy").

1.1.1 (2026-09-28)

  • The version in Settings: a copy of the addon run from the source files shows "FixedRaid dev" instead of the unfilled version placeholder. The release package shows the number, as before.

1.1.0 (2026-09-28)

  • Refreshed window: a new title bar with the message in the middle and a settings gear, a context bar with the raid and template selectors and Start raid, and during a raid a session bar in the warning colour with the locked raid and template. The tabs Bosses, Roster and Groups show counters (incomplete rows, filled roles, players to move).
  • Settings moved from a tab to a panel under the gear, with switches and two announce channels: the Boss note goes to Raid warning and the assignments to Raid by default, each can be Raid or Raid warning. The boss name goes with the Boss note, or with the assignments when the boss has no note.
  • Deleting a row, a role, a custom target or a custom encounter no longer asks first: the message says what went and offers Undo.
  • New font for names and labels (Barlow Semi Condensed) and new interface icons.
  • Bosses: a boss list with ready counts and a CUSTOM section, a header with the boss name and what is missing, and a view switcher (Assignments, Notes, Chat preview). Rows show their number, type icon and note on a second line, have a row actions button and move by dragging. The palette says which field it is filling, dims what does not fit and filters roles by type. The Notes view shows the Boss note with line numbers and what it sends.
  • Chat preview: every announce line in the channel colour, with the send progress; click lines to tick them and Announce sends only the ticked ones ("Announce selected"). The whispers per player are listed too. The session bar shows IN COMBAT.
  • Roster during a raid: a filter (All, Empty, Offline), a meter per section, full sections folded to one line, and a highlight on the empty role that fits the picked player.
  • Groups: cards for the eight groups in a 4 x 2 grid, 1, 3, 5, 7 over 2, 4, 6, 8 or 1 to 4 over 5 to 8 (kept in the profile), with the players Apply will move marked and the number of moves on the button.
  • Finish raid: the changes grouped by place and marked added, changed or removed, and a clear choice between saving, saving a copy and discarding.
  • First open: with no raid chosen, a short guide and the raids as buttons.
  • Export and Import in the template menu: a template becomes one share string (!FR1!...) to copy, and a pasted string becomes a new template, with a preview of what it holds and a name that can be changed. The string is compressed with LibDeflate (new library) and carries no IDs or character names.
  • Ready-made strategy templates for all nine raids in docs/templates/, with roles, groups and assignments for every boss. Roles with a special job say it in their name ("Mage Krosh tank 10k HP", "OT 1 arcane res 365"), and each boss has a private note with its source, requirements and fallbacks.

1.0.0 (2026-09-25)

First release.

  • Foundation: main window, raid templates, boss list with custom encounters, raid and boss detection, raid session with Start raid and Finish raid.
  • Roster: roles in every template with default layouts for all nine raids, the Roster tab to edit them, and players from the group assigned to roles during a raid.
  • Assignments: rows on roles with data and custom targets, raid markers and row notes, the palette with dragging and click-to-fill, Note and Boss note.
  • Announcements: Announce and Whisper with previews in the tooltips, a paced chat queue with Stop, and the Announce to setting (Raid or Raid warning).
  • Markers: raid markers placed automatically on the targets of rows, custom targets with an optional NPC ID that can be edited, and data targets that can be hidden per template.
  • Groups: the Groups tab with a raid grid of roles and a pool, sample groups for every raid, and Apply to raid that moves players into the planned groups.
  • Party buffs: icons of the party buffs each group gets next to its name in the Groups tab, with specs for roles and players chosen by right-click.
  • Logo: the FixedRaid logo with a dark outline, in the addon list and as the minimap button, drawn without the round border.
